Hotel Cote d'or Lodge

This place has the makings of being a really nice place to stay, however misses the bar in several ways. The wifi is terrible and expensive. Even after paying the high rate, it was unusable. I get connectivity can be difficult on Praslin, maybe not charging for substandard things would be a good choice. The restaurant charged double for drinks compared to what was available in town, and didn't include anything without charging, including water. ($9 USD for a bottle of water is crazy) We ended up walking to the mini-mart nearby and stocking up on gallons of water we kept in our room. We did the same with beer & wine. The food was average, after a few meals we were no longer interested in their offerings and found interesting places to eat instead. The grounds were kept clean, except for the beach. To go beyond average, they should clean the beach daily. It's would not be a huge effort to rake it clean when the tide is low. Other hotels along the same beach did a much better job in this, noted as we walked it one day. The staff was indifferent on the issues, but the worst experience with them was the checkout, in which they insisted we pay the Seychelles taxes in cash. This wouldn't be an issue if they had an ATM on site instead of being a 40 minute round trip walk on a busy road. They made no attempts to solve this self-imposed problem. Being an average hotel is one thing, being an average hotel in the Seychelles is another. It's an expensive trip, the last thing travelers want is to be nickel and dimed at their lodging. I wouldn't say don't stay here, but I would say lower your expectations if you do.

On holidays with friends. This place is ok but I think that something more should be done to improve and modernize the entire structure. Breakfast normal. Great view from a seafront lodge. Very bad time with sandflies (bring with u body oil). Cool turtles on the back of the property. However, I suggest to rent a car to go around on the island. Excellent musical entertainment by Victor!!!!really congratulations.Very good in acoustics playing guitar!

Highly recommendable Hotel with family atmosphere and an excellent kitchen. We started our Seychelles trip on Praslin and stayed at the Côte d´Or Lodge. Simple spacious and convenient bungalows are located close to the nice and long Beach. It is in Italian hands and we were very friendly greeted by Francesco who showed us around and also booked an excursion for us. There is a bus stop close by from where you can explore the island and you can take nice walks along the beach. We had some sea grass at times, but the staff is doing an excellent job cleaning the beach each day. If I had one thing to improve then I would be to leave it up to the guest to have the air conditioner running all day. Most people are not in their rooms all day and energy could be saved. Furthermore the AC cools quickly. Thank you for your consideration. We booked half board and the quality and choice of food was excellent. Fresh fish every day from the grill (the best tuna I ever ate) salads and fruits, and, of course, a little bit of Italian food each day 😊 ~ Grazie mille, we enjoyed and appreciated this a lot.

Avevamo bisogno di relax.. e abbiamo trovato un’oasi di pace. Lodges sulla spiaggia, puliti e ben tenuti. A disposizione di tutti gli ospiti kayak, tavolo da ping pong, campo da beach volley, bocce, lettini e teli da bagno. Staff sempre gentile e cordiale. Cucina eccezionale, davvero degna di nota. A pranzo menu a la carta con molte proposte. Nel tardo pomeriggio viene allestito un piccolo angolo sulla spiaggia con the caldo, biscotti secchi e torte. Possibilitá di prenotare escursioni in loco a prezzi più che onesti. La spiaggia è molto bella sia per fare il bagno che per lunghe passeggiate al tramonto. Sempre ben sistemata dai ragazzi dello staff. In 15 minuti a piedi si raggiunge un piccolo centro abitato con supermarket, ristoranti e piccoli negozietti per souvenir. Tutte le sere il vostro sonno sará dolcemente cullato dal mormorio del mare. Grazie davvero di tutto. Sicuramente torneremo a trovarvi, a presto!

Situato su una delle più belle spiagge di Praslin, gestito da un direttore e due stupende collaboratrici italiani. Personale estremamente preparato e gentile. Cucina ottima, sempre molto varia e pronta a soddisfare anche richieste fuori menù particolari. Pulitissimo! Le camere hanno addirittura il bidet, grande punto a favore. Le camere sono praticamente sulla spiaggia, con sorveglianza costante. Ad Agosto tempo variabile ma sostanzialmente bello, zero alghe su questa costa e mare praticamente piatto. La struttura offre anche servizi vari gratuiti come canoe, lettini, beach volley, bocce e ping pong. Unico minuscolo neo, ma va detto purtroppo, in camera il wifi è a pagamento (come scritto sul sito, ma nel 2025 un po’ fuori moda). Dovessimo tornare alle Seychelles non avremmo dubbi sul risceglierlo. Grazie ancora!
