Les Chambres de Mathilde

We did a stop-over in our road trip in Angers and stayed at Les Chambres de Mathilde. Everything was great: bed, shower, Wi-Fi and the lovely breakfast. The host is always available and we really recommend it to stay a bit longer as this city has a lot to see: cathedral, castle and city walks.

What a gem! A lovingly decorated and maintained small family hotel centrally located in Angers. An easy 15 minute walk from the train station, also close to walk from the tram. Great choice of restaurants close by. The owner obviously delights in personally welcoming guests and we had delightful conversations with him. Our room was truly lovely… huge comfortable bed, double sinks in the bathroom, even a dressing room. Lovely breakfast with home made yougurt and honey from the owner’s own bees. This would make a lovely base to stay for a few nights to explore Angers and the surrounding area. Yes.. we will stay here again. 😄

A delightful 'chambres d'hote' just out of the centre of Angers. The city is worth a visit if only for the Apocalypse Tapestries at the imposing chateau which was why I stayed here. Situated on a suburban street just off the main boulevard, Les Chambres are well situated for the château, restaurants and the railway station. I had a lovely room on the ground floor, beautifully decorated in period furniture and with several table lamps. The bathroom was both modern and functional. A delightful garden courtyard abuts the house. Breakfast, the continental version, served in a beautiful dining room, was very good, and was included in the approximately €80 price. Highly recommended. The hosts were friendly and efficient . Best of all was a late night visit from Mischke, the house cat, who didn't criticize my less than perfect French.

Le charme et le raffinement pour se poser au calme, tout en étant près du centre ville d'Angers. Un lieu chaleureux où le petit déjeuner maison (yaourt, confiture, miel) vous est servi au coin du feu. Belle chambre sur jardin avec une literie très confortable, bouilloire, thé et bouteilles d'eau à disposition. Merci à l'hôtesse pour son accueil bienveillant. Au plaisir de revenir.

La chambre était très agréable décorer avec beaucoup de soins Le petit déjeuner est très bien surtout la confiture orange melon[une tuerie] Accueil très amical , on voit que l on aime accueillir les gens

Magnifique chambre d'hôtes alliant modernité, confort et histoire. Salle de bain confortable et bien équipée ,lit confortable, endroit calme Petit déjeuné de qualité avec d'excellents produits. Excellent accueil de notre hôte, prévenant et à l'écoute.

bon accueil ,bien situé, très bon petit- déjeuner ,propriétaire très prévenant et à l'écoute accés centre-ville a pied ,10mn à pied du chateau et musée des beaux-arts,maison pincé, ballades le long de la maine

En plein centre d'Angers ( 10 min à pied du château et du cœur de ville médiéval), dans une maison de maître de 19°S. La chambre est grande, hyper cosy, décorée dans un style 19° qui sonne juste; on est bien, au calme, on dort bien,..." luxe, calme, et volupté " Le petit dej' est tout à fait dans le ton. Bref, une escale de luxe pour le prix d'un hôtel de chaîne sans personnalité ( 88.00 € la chambre avec 2 petits déjeuners )
