Great hotel and amazing staff. There are several restaurants and a very nice pool.

Apart from the price tag, everything else was just perfect.

The Chedi is truly a 5 star hotel in every way. We recently stayed here for 2 nights and were very impressed. Here are the highlights: 1. Room: Spacious and well designed. Plenty of room for storage and lots of gadgets (electronic light shades, gas fireplace with remote control, etc.). Our Bed was extremely comfortable. The shower featured charming Aqua di Parma toiletries. 2. Hotel Grounds: The Chedi is exquisitely designed and decorated. 3. Spa/Pool: Immaculate and beautiful pool that flows outdoors. Very peaceful unless guests bring their infants/toddlers to play in the pool area (which happened during our stay but was clearly not the hotel's fault at all.) 4. Dining: The complimentary breakfast was lavish, expertly prepared and varied. The bread basket, especially the sour dough brown bread, was worth every calorie! 5. James Bond: There was an interesting James Bond exhibit at the hotel during our stay which featured some of his clothes, a gun and assorted memorabilia. You could also pay to drive in an old car while watching a simulated curvy mountain road. Tip: Vistors staying in Andermatt are able to purchase a discounted tourist pass which entitles you to free rides on area gondolas and trains. The 1st Chedi Concierge we spoke with didn't mention it when we asked him about hiking and area activities. Later that day, a 2nd Chedi Concierge knew about the visitor pass but said that it would be "quicker" to purchase it at the Tourist Information bureau. Our visit to the Andermatt TI was anything but quick! We had to sign up for emails using their tablet, answer questions about where we were from, listen to a speech about the area, etc... Laborious process but in the end we got our local pass which thereafter was a helpful thing to have.

We stayed there for a few days to enjoy the spa and aomw nice food. The room was as always nice but for the price paid you can expect to have it checked before guest arrival we washed our hands after 5 min in the room and the sink was clogged. We then decided to go to the spa and we were looking for the bathrobe usually there is always to size available this time no. Bar you should stick to common drinks as the coktail was appaling , funny name but not to expectations at all. We had dinner at the restaurant as always the food was nice but it it looked like the prices really rised up and the quantity got smaller. 19CHF for a 1 dl glass of wine really ? Staff were amazing everywhere

We enjoyed every aspect of the hotel and amenities. Because it was off-season the hotel was quiet and whether mostly rainy. But we could care less as the finished thought was incredible. He spent a chunk of time each day, floating between steam rooms, sauna, pool and Global. It was serene. We had a spectacular spacious yet cozy room. Service was impeccable.

Superb hotel with spacious, beautifully designed rooms offering breathtaking views. The service is outstanding, with staff always attentive to every detail. The cuisine is absolutely incredible, bursting with flavor. Love at first sight

5* hotel which overall lives up to its rating. Food presentation is very good whilst flavours could be better. Excellent room although iron / ironing board not permitted? Room controls via iPad; all worked bar the fireplace. Excellent shower and Aqua di Parma toiletries. Breakfast range was excellent! Pre arrival preferences not adhered to on a daily basis; why? No noise in room. Bed / pillow voice very comfortable. Andermatt is a nice “village”, great for skiing, but lacks high end boutique shops. Hotel is well located in village close to train station. Airport access is via Zurich or Milan both are 1.5 to 2 hours drive away. Hotel has “outposts” for dining which are all good.

This hotel is easily five out of five in every category. We stayed here for sadly just one night in August and enjoyed every second. Our kids loved the spacious and luxurious room we were in. The deluxe suite. We also loved the amazing Restaurant downstairs (both for a fantastic dining tasting menu and also unbelievable included breakfast) and the spa area which allowed our kids to swim. It's really a fantastic hotel everyone should stay at. The views of Andermatt are excellent from the massive balconies and the many windows in the hotel. Every detail of the hotel is amazing. They have Bose speaker systems set up through the rooms, fireplaces, touch screen controls for all windows and high end furnishings. There was also tons of sleeping space for the kids. The service was world class. They treated our family so well. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone

A wonderful Hotel! We enjoyed our stay from the moment we arrived. From the Doorman that helped us with our luggage and parked our vehicle to the front desk that answered any and all questions we had, to the extremely polite wait staff. If you want to feel pampered this is the place to stay.

Dont listen to some Karen experience and that is overrated. Its a pricey hotel but you do get what you pay for. The service from day 1 is so personal and everyone knows your name drink you like to drink or service you might need. There is no “no “ answer to anything, they will literally speak to chef to make you something that is not on the menu if needed for your child. They make snow sports so easy helping with absolutely everything from passes to equipment. We stayed in many 5 stars hotels and the child care(kids club) and babysitting services were without fail the best. Our boy is usually not very keen to go anywhere without us but after couple days the first he wanted to do when he woke up was to go to kids club. The japanese restaurant in the hotel had one of the best dishes we tried they were also very accommodating and understating.. the concierge in the hotel is so professional and quick the second you step your foot in the hotel. The cigar room 5 stars 🌟! Top of the list for us was actually an experience suggested and booked by the hotel that is run by private company. It was called cheese fondue under the stars. You trekking for about 30 mins up the mountains that takes you to a beautiful family run cattle barn conversion. They were so kind it felt like you had the best catch up with not seen for a long time lost family . We have drunk laughed and had the best views walking down . The food that was made by the host was so delicious and local sourced. The tour guide names Baenz was such an interesting character that was born in the village and travelled most parts of the world with the most amazing stories and knew absolutely everything about the history of the town and country. Highly highly recommend. One little suggestion would be there was so kids friendly plunge pool or anything just two quite deep pools- with very warm water most of the time too!

This is one of the finest hotels we have stayed at. Previously was the Ritz Carlton Okinawa with its flawless service and beautiful hardware. The Chedi welcomed us with a lovely tour of the hotel. The entry level room was generously proportioned with a lovely fireplace and balcony. We used this as a base to drive the Swiss mountain passes. The spa was amazing with the hydrotherapy pools and saunas. The outdoor pool was great with a stunning view of snow capped mountains. We lived every part of the hotel! Breakfast was excellent with great choice and relaxed. Stay here if you are touring the mountains!
