Vondelpark House Bed & Breakfast

We really enjoyed our stay in this suburban part of Amsterdam. It is a beautiful house in a quiet residential area. Beautifully decorated rooms and great shared kitchen with tea/coffee available. Impeccably clean. The only constructive feedback is that the 2 x room doors need felt stoppers to help stop the noise from the other bedroom/bathroom doors as they are quite noisy when opening and closing. Still had a great stay though, visited many of the local restaurants and bars which were great and varied. Petra and Gerard are excellent hosts.

My sister made a reservation for a weekend in Amsterdam. We arrived a friday night and discovered that there was a mistake during the reservation. The owner refused to refund us. A nonsense. We were lost in a town without help. I will never go there again (and it's far from the town center by walk, we walked with our bags during more than 45 minutes). I wrote it on Google and she canceled my message. A shame.

We spent four nights exploring Amsterdam and Petra's B&B was a very wonderful retreat after a full days sight seeing each day. It was very easy to find following Petra's instructions from the airport and took us less than half an hour. Situated on the edge of the beautiful Vondelpark we enjoyed walking through the park to get to the city centre and then enjoyed the sunsets walking back in the evening. The museum quarter of the city is just at the other end of the park. Situated in a residential area it is very quiet at night which is rare to find on a city escape. Our room was at the front of the property with en suite bathroom, very spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The two rooms at the property share a kitchen where there is a fridge, coffee machine, microwave. There is a supermarket nearby where we bought breakfast supplies and had it in our room every morning before heading out into the city. Mostly we ate out in the evening in the city however there are some restaurants close by both in and around the park. I cannot fault anything about our stay here, we waited two years to get here because of Covid and it was definately well worth the wait. thank you for a beautiful stay Petra. Jayne & Harvey.

J'avais réservé sur booking mais une erreur m'a conduit à annuler 6 mois à l'avance (réservation pour octobre et annulation en avril). Après avoir pris contact avec Mme Petra, elle n'a pas souhaité me rembourser mes 328 euros. Elle n'a répondu que lorsqu'elle a vu mon commentaire négatif sur Google en disant que pendant 3 jours elle pouvait pas répondre car elle conduisait. Dommage, elle a gâché mon expérience. Je ne la conseille donc absolument pas sauf si vous avez beaucoup d'argent à perdre. Malhonnête. J'aurai dû suivre le conseil négatif du Monsieur posté en janvier 2022.

J'ai réservé par Booking deux nuits dans cette maison, mais j'ai eu un problème et de très grandes difficultés à joindre l'hôte qui s'est montrée virulente et peu commerciale. L'appartement est sûrement beau à voir mais pas la personne. Je ne conseille donc pas ce logement pour les service humain qui est déplorable.
