B&B Ercole di Amalfi

The place is amazing, middle in the mountain and nature of Amalfi. The bedroom was even nicer than in the pictures: spacious and modern. The shower was amazing, the bed really comfortable. Valentina is a great hostess, she did everything to make our stay more enjoyable. They make delicious breakfast.

What could be more perfect than sitting under lemon tree boughs, heavy with lemons, drinking good coffee and looking out over the Tyrrhenian Sea? Just add fresh baked lemon cake, and gracious Valentia hosting, and you have something beyond imagination. The view from the breakfast tables was stunning. The rooms were large, well furnished, bedding very comfortable, everything extremely clean, bathrooms generous. The smell of the lemons was rich in the air. And the verdant trees created a lovely atmosphere. This is a family run B&B, and the grandparents are actively involved, baking the amazing lemon bread (thank you) and tending to the groves. Many, many carvings, tile work, and other artistic items in the B&B were created by the founder, now grandfather, who is present almost daily. It is extraordinary to think that one family could have built all of this. The location is removed from the city of Amalfi, which I appreciated, given that it was quiet and peaceful. Even in April, Amalfi was congested with people and cars. I loved coming back to such a peaceful setting. We stayed for several days, and so everyday took a bus to Amalfi to connect to other buses or ferries to see many beautiful places. It was easy to catch the bus, but they could be crowded. However, even crowded, they were clean and people were very welcoming. A list of local restaurants is in each room, indicating those that will come and get you and then return you after dinner. These were the best. I cannot recommend this highly enough. You know that you are a tourist here. And there are so many tourists. But, in this place, you are able to enjoy the beauty and serenity with the crushing crowds. Thank you, Valentina, for welcoming us every morning and making sure that we got to do all the things we were hoping for on the Amalfi coast. Out two rooms were both lovely, so I am sure that all three rooms are wonderful. We enjoyed a cooking class, reviewed under Amalfi Heaven's Gardens, which was great fun. We loved Ravello, and taking the ferry to Positano. In six days, we could not do everything we wanted to do. I hope to go back, and would chose to stay here again.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this stunningly, beautiful B&B Ercole di Amalfi in March for our 42nd wedding anniversary. The typical Italian family run business with the amazing, attentive and nothing was too much trouble our host Valentina, supported by her Nonna and Grandad made our week so very special. Tucked up in the mountains overlooking the Amalfi Coast and sea with just three rooms decorated to a very high standard, very comfy beds, immaculately spotless and set amongst the most fabulous lemon groves this is an absolute little gem. Every morning Valentina served us a delicious freshly cooked breakfast accompanied with fresh fruit and yoghurts. Valentina was always so helpful with suggestions of local buses, restaurants and places of interest. Several of the restaurants nearby offered a courtesy collection and return. We sampled 3 of them and all were top class serving fresh local fish, meat and vegetables and much cheaper than the restaurants in the main Amalfi square. We took the local bus every day, just a 5 minute walk from the B&B, down the mountain to the Amalfi square where you can pick up other buses to beautiful towns such as Ravello, Positano, Priano, Sorrento, Pompei. I would strongly recommend the Ercole di Amalfi B&B to anyone looking for a picturesque, peaceful location, excellently run establishment. Top Class, Superb. Thank you and Well done Valentina.

What a beautiful and peaceful setting! Very convenient to the Path of the Gods trailhead and yet still in Amalfi. We stayed in the Egle room and it was comfortable with a great morning meal in the lemon garden. We loved the B&B and the attention from Mariagrazia who gave us all the info for logistics. We tried the buses mostly, which worked great for the Path of the Gods but not great for getting to Amalfi, especially if you stay out late. If we did it again we would rent a scooter. Perfect peaceful spot if you have a car or are willing to take taxis but we would not recommend the buses if you like to stay out past 22:00.

Nous avons passé un séjour idyllique à l'Ercole Di Amalfi: Valentina, Mariagrazia et toute sa famille sont les personnes les plus sympathiques qui soit, toujours disponibles et arrangeantes pour faire de votre passage un moment agréable. Elle vous donnent les conseils nécessaires pour éviter les pièges à touristes, dénicher les meilleurs restaurants dans les villages alentours, et vous déplacer sans encombres. Les chambres sont spacieuses, décorées sobrement mais avec soin, et très propres. La vue sur l'océan est à couper le souffle, et la terrasse est tellement agréable qu'on a juste envie d'y rester toute la journée! Le petit-déjeuner sous les citronniers face à la mer est juste parfait. Si nous devions revenir sur la côte Amalfitaine, c'est ici que nous séjournerions et nulle part ailleurs! Merci à Mariagrazia et Valentina pour leur gentillesse, et baci à Enzo et Ana ;).

Je recommande vivement Petit déjeuner incroyable et copieux pris sur la terrasse à l'ombre des citronniers et vue sur la mer. Grande chambre impeccable avec vue panoramique sur la mer et les citronniers Excellents conseils pour visiter.
