Fort Dadhikar, Alwar

Wonderful experience. I stayed for One day with my family. Tasty food, peaceful environment, clean and big rooms. Indoor outdoor activities. Good Cricket ground as well. Highly recommend

Fort Dadhikar is a heritage property right now turned into a hotel. It is supposed to be 6kn from Alwar city but the road to reach is quite treacherous through the jungle via Bala Quila entrance. Following the jungle area the road takes a picturesque turn ***** hills to reach a point of nothing but the fort on a hill top. There is an entry fee of 250 INR for people not staying there and this gets covered against a cup of tea or coffee at their restaurant. The entry to parking has a steep turn upwards so be careful while you drive up the way. The place has 18 rooms so not enough space for parking. It is a pet friendly place so people who are not pet lovers might not be entertained. The property is colorful with a range of bougainvillea giving it a vibrant feel. The structure is made up like an old fort which is newly constructed. This property does not have lifts or pools and has maintained the rustic look of the fort. The rooms are spacious but badly maintained with not enough staffs attending to the same. The restaurant is quite small with both inside and outside seating areas . The menu range is quite limited. The lunch buffet costs about 1250 INR inclusive of entry fee which is pretty high considering the range of items they showcased. The roof top feels good with the full view of the road and land around. All over an ok place for middle aged adults but touch to take kids or elderly people.

It's a nice property, ambience is good, staff is polite and courteous and food is delicious. A nice weekend getaway. I highly recommend the place.
