Foz Club - Algarve

We stayed here during a 3 week trip to Spain and Portugal. After intense touring and sightseeing in Mardid, Barcelona and Granada, we were ready for a bit of relaxation and this hotel was the perfect place to just sit back and enjoy the view. We had a very nice room of which the best part was the balcony where we had breakfast every day. We were directly above the tennis court and had stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean to the south and to the west we could look across the water to see the town of Lagos Portugal. Just getting to the hotel was a study in ever more relaxing settings. Pulling off of the main road you encounter a small unpaved road, a short distance on the small road and you turn off onto and even smaller unpaved road which leads you to the hotel itself. In a sense, driving down these small roads is driving away from cares and worries into a secluded paradise. On a practical note, the hotel is on a point of land overlooking the ocean. It is filled with artwork, has a small pool, tennis court and access to one of the small secluded beaches that the Algarve is known for. It also affords access to trails along the bluffs witch wend their way through the amazing rock formations for which the Algarve is known.

Without a doubt, this place is awesome. The host Abia, (sp) goes out of his way to make sure you have the best experience possible. The views from this perfectly sized property are the best. The little trekking on his property as well as the adjacent property give you the best views of the perfectly beautiful ocean shore. The rooms as well as the bathrooms are spacious. The gym is very well equipped and there's a well maintained tennis court as well. We loved our stay here.

You’ll find Foz Club down a pretty beaten up road which, if you’re in a taxi, the driver will gripe about. This goes for any taxi you get while staying here! But when you get there, you’ll get a genuinely warm greeting that you can’t help but be charmed by. If you don’t have a car, factor in taxis back from town, but you can walk there in about 40 mins via the cliff top, beach and boardwalk. The host is very laid back and welcoming which is lovely. I’d recommend Foz Club but would say go ready to embrace something a little eclectic. It’s not run of the mill, but that’s what makes it special.

We've been back for the second time and everything is as good as ever! Every detail has been thought out to the highest level, the simplicity of the owner Abilio and his unflagging friendliness. The facilities speak for themselves, but it's the service that we miss ! Thank you for everything 🙏🏼 See you next year ❤️

Es un lugar muy especial, casi diría que no recuerda a un hotel, es como un lujo que has sido invitado a compartir. El edificio es amplio, con espacio para el deporte y el juego, amueblado con hermosas piezas de diferentes estilos. Las habitaciones, muy cómodas, con vistas espectaculares. El Foz Club está casi escondido junto a una cala de acceso directo y cerquísima de las playas más bellas de la zona. Abilio, el dueño, te recibe como si ya te conociera, y se preocupa personalmente de que tu estancia sea perfecta. Casi nada más llegar estás decidido a volver. Gracias por todo.

Nous avons passé 4 jours a l’hotel Foz club et avons apprécie de pouvoir aller à pied se baigner dans la crique en bas de l’hotel ainsi que le petit déjeuner servi sur le balcon de la chambre face a la mer. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et bon. La chambre est spacieuse et très propre. Je ne voudrais pas oublier de mentionner le propriétaire et son fils qui sont tres sympathiques. Je reviendrai avec tres grand plaisir
