Excellent as usual I always go to this hotel.my favourite Thank you.

There are 14 rooms per floor. Four of them are extremely small and despite checking in at the earliest money, we were assigned one of these small rooms. The sounds from the bathroom above us were like they were in our room. And the insect nest on our balcony was scary. Photo attached. Oh and there were zero USB ports in the room. But the front desk were kind enough to lend us one to plug in. Not a bad hotel but our room was definitely sub standard.

This place is so modern and clean, and was like a little hub in the middle of Altura! The stunning beach is in your back garden, the food was delicious, the gardens, pool, atmosphere, spa were all beautiful, accessible and exactly what we wanted. One staff member on the front desk especially - a young lady, was so helpful, friendly and communicative and spoke excellent English for us, and all staff were helpful! Thanks for a lovely time, we would definitely stay again 🥰 Sandra and Fergal

The only hotel in this area, established for many years. Access onto the beach from the grounds within a short walk. Considering the hotel was full it did not feel over-crowded (fairly busy at meal times). Cleanliness of the pool & surrounding area was second to none. Buffet style evening meals (or a la carte option), and breakfast, did not disappoint in variety, selection or freshness. Old style Portugal, unspoiled local area (but within a taxi drive, or long walk, you can access other towns which are perhaps ‘more vibrant’, but that wasn’t our choice, we loved the simplicity of where this hotel is, the fresh fish and beautiful sandy beach. All rooms have a sea view (and you see the fishermen out each night catching their wares). Fabulous.

Our 34th year in the Eurotel. Never disappoints and we feel like this is our second home. All rooms have sea views and I could just sit all day looking out over the sea but the beach is so spectacular that a short walk and I am in heaven. Every member of staff is welcoming and they work so hard to make it such a happy stay. Beautiful large bedrooms with everything you could wish for. Already making our booking for next year.

The Eurotel is one of those rare locations where you find yourself coming back for a second or even third time. It's well situated within a very short walking distance to town center where you can find a variety of restaurants. The facility has a great pool area with food and bar service available and if you prefer there's a lovely beach just a few minutes away. You won't be disappointed in the facilities and the staff are attentive and helpful whenever you need them. A great place to relax and enjoy the sun.

A comfortable, relaxed hotel facing the gorgeous Altura beach acessible within 5 min walk . The staff are very friendly, easy going and very prompt to attend requests. All bedrooms have sea view. The breakfasts and lunch meals are good and the buffet dinner excellent. Our 4-year old son loved the Hotel Kids club. A wonderful stay!

Returned after an absence of a few years to find that this hotel is the same excellent established that we had memories of. Fantastic location, excellent, friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast. Great pool area and other amenities. Had a thunderstorm during our stay which blew down branches etc and indeed knocked a few trees on the main road outside the hotel - cleared and cleaned up in jig-time. Could not fine one fault & beidh muid ar ais (we will be back).

very pleasantnight away in this hotel. reception staff where amazing check-in pleasant and seamless we done a pre check-in and staff held our bags until after 3pm but provided towels so we could use the pool and hotel facilities including spa area we just had to advise them the time. Breakfast was very good. hotel a little dated on the outside but our room and facilities were spotless.

I've stayed several times with Eurotel Altura. The location is perfect, in front of the beach, all rooms have magnific ocean views, it has an excellent second gourmet restaurant over the sand (UCA) and a super breakfast, abundant, varied with everything tasty and well cooked. On the top of it, everytime they have the chance, they upgrade my room to a very spacious one, with complimentary espresso, bottle of water and Algarve's typical almond pastry in form of little fruits, waiting for the guests. You can't go wrong with Eurotel if you are in the region between Tavira and Vila Real de St. António. Convenient and also the best value.

A really nice hotel which is on the beach. Well decorated rooms with lovely views. The food is very good, particularly the seafood. The restaurant serves a la carte or buffet style, there is also a lovely restaurant on the beach. The spa and thalassotherapy were excellent. Overall this is a lovely relaxing place which I would recommend.

Wonderful, restful, rejuvenating stay at the Eurotel Altura! Went with a friend for a quiet, beachside holiday and we were not disappointed. The facade of the hotel is not particularly inspiring, but inside it is modern and sophisticated. All rooms have views of the sea and a balcony, which is lovely and you can hear the waves at night if you choose to keep your balcony window open. There is an elegant boardwalk over the sand dunes down to the beautiful sandy beach, where you can walk for miles if you wish, which is delightful. There can be high winds and choppy seas at times though, which make swimming difficult. You do have to pay 17-24 euros daily if you want the use of 2 sunbeds and an umbrella at the beach, which we did not expect. Lots of Portuguese families holiday in this area, which speaks for itself. It's a public beach, and can get busy in peak times, but it is so vast it never feels over crowded. I enjoyed using the hotel gym, and the garden area around the pool is well maintained, and used by guests to sunbathe. No ugly piped music at hotel, or noisy day activities. Buffet breakfasts are wonderful, with lots of choice. We loved the fresh fruit (amazing juicy oranges), yoghurt,and cakes! It's nice to sit out on the terrace if space available. Half board option is buffet dinner, again lots of choice. They have some themed cuisine nights on alternate evenings. Our favourite was Asiatic night. The chocolate ice cream when available, was another highlight, along with salads. A special mention to Nuno the Restaurant Manager, who was so kind and very professional. Also Susana who works very hard in the restaurant area, and is delightful. They are both a credit to the hotel. We tried to speak to Bruno the hotel manager to convey our feedback, but sadly he appeared to be unavailable. Our bedroom was comfortable and clean, though standard size rooms are not that spacious - fine for a beach type holiday, but if you like more space would recommend upgrading. A kettle is available in the room upon request, though the cable on ours was short, and with not many sockets free in our room, we had to keep it on the floor to use nearest socket! The hotel is a little isolated if relying on using public transport to sightsee - few buses. Taxis are available. It would be nice in high season perhaps if the hotel offered guests a minibus service to Tavira for instance. All in all, Eurotel Altura is a gem. It is situated in a beautiful, undeveloped beach location (thanks to the wisdom of Portuguese authorities I understand), which makes it special. If you like lots of shops, restaurants, noisy bars and nightlife, this is not the place for you. For us it was heaven, and we will definitely go back!

We have just returned from a 5 night break at this hotel after spending a few days in Lisbon. Having been to Portugal a number of times we were a little apprehensive as staying to the East of the Algarve was a departure for us. We needn't have worried, athough on initial impressions the hotel looks a little dated, the friendly staff, great breakfast, large very clean pool and direct access to the beach more than made up for any exterior appearance. All rooms are sea facing and have magnificent views. The rooms could probably do with up-dating a little but they are immaculately clean as are all the communal areas. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to Eurotel Altura, hopefully very soon.
