Travelodge by Wyndham Alpine

Some of their deficiencies are minor such as not including any type of cup for water or for coffee. The 24 hour diner seems to offer only take out service for night time. However the biggest problem I had with this place was being eaten alive by bedbugs in room 119 on 17 April 2024. I have been trying to report this but it appears to be very difficult to get through to anyone other than the reservation service which apparently has no connection to the motel if I am understanding whaat the people there told me. After five phone calls one of which transferred me to three different people I decided it was important to let other potential guests know my experience. I could certainly post photos of the bites but it is disturbing me enough as it is

Minor issues with plumbing fixtures being broken, but it did not affect the overall stay. I was able to adjust toilet to stop it from running, showerhead broke but was unable to fix that, just took bath. The majority of clients are railroad crews so I doubt those guys report issues as they don't check out with staff - its's not an issue for me as I'm used to roughing it sometimes. Personally would stay again, might be hard to convience the wife though -

We stayed at this hotel. First of all you have to go to the diner next door to register, so odd. The diner, Penny's had excellent food and service When we got into our assigned room, it had not been cleaned, bedding piled on bed, garbage in the sink etc We back across the parking lot to the diner where we were assigned a new room. Seemed clean when we arrived Attempted to take a shower and water shot out of the showerhead over the curtain onto the door, floor, and my slippers. Ended up wrapping a hand towel around the showerhead to take a fast shower. Then the drain was very slow draining. To top it off it cost over $100. AND there was no breakfast included, nothing at all. I would never stay here again

The lowest possible rating you can give. A zero. Will not ever stay at a Travelodge ever again. The most incompetent hotel staff I have ever in my life dealt with. Please do not book a room at the Travelodge in Alpine, Texas. You WILL regret it. I certainly do.

No coffee service in the room; no breakfast; phone in the room didn't work; trash in the parking lot/curb that wasn't removed. Key card mysteriously stopped working Mon. Decaf coffee only in the room -

it is a boarding house for railroad workers not a tourist hotel room had not been cleaned there was no hot water it is a dump i will never stay at a travelodge again because of this experience there is no on-site management

Awful check in experience, in a diner next door… the room had not been cleaned when we got it. The blankets were missing, no shower curtain. MOLD all over the shower ceiling. Not just a little bit but a LOT. We were going to call room service but the phone was covered in sticky crap. The bathroom had leftover shampoo bottles in it from the last guests. I’m guessing they started cleaning it then stopped?? The beds were comfy and the sheets were clean but we had to move pillows around because some had hair on them.. we would not stay here again. Spring for the holiday inn and pay 80 bucks more you won’t be disappointed like we were. Wyndham would be ashamed if they saw this room.

For reasons I can't fathom, hotel costs in Alpine are through the roof. Nothing in a brand name property is even close to $100 a night and this one was $121 plus tax. As a Wyndham property I expected more. My room had the basic amenities but smelled really funky and cleanliness was only marginal. The main business here is for railroad crews who spend the night frequently and I guess don't warrant really nice accommodations. You check in at the little diner across from the hotel and have to ask for a blanket, as none were provided. No drinking cups or wash cloths, either. That said, the TV worked fine as did the free wi-fi and the water was hot in the shower. I would avoid this place if any member of your party has moderate expectations of an overnight stay. If you are more "flexible" and want to avoid paying $175 for one of the big name hotels, I suppose you, like me, can stand it for a night. No free breakfast.

Just due to the age of the property the guest rooms are very outdated. Our toilet was broken and held together by a rubber band. We purchased the float and fixed it ourselves so that we could have a toilet during our stay. The staff was very nice and seems to know the stage of the property.
