Shantiniketan, situated amidst the mountains of KasarDevi, truly lives upto its name! I went with my family and we all had such a memorable time. Its not just a homestay honestly- it feels like the perfect escape from our busy lives. The food, the ambience, the views, and ofcourse the host- everything is just so impeccably good. Loved it and cant wait to be back there again sooon!

Shantiniketan is the epitome of serenity and hospitality. Nestled in the tranquil mountains, this boutique homestay offers stunning views and a peaceful escape. The hosts are exceptionally warm and attentive, making you feel like family. They curate beautiful experiences for your liking and make it a memorable trip! The cozy, beautifully decorated rooms and delicious home-cooked meals add to the charm. This is, without a doubt, the best homestay I've ever visited. Highly recommended!

I visited Shantiniketan, Almora for 3 nights and 4 days and the stay was wonderful. It is a cozy mountain home nestled amidst beautiful deodar and pine trees which makes for a spectacular view and cool, peaceful atmosphere. You can see the beautiful sunrise and moon rise from the property and the room that I stayed in had beautiful views of the Himalayan range. The room is quite spacious, comfortable ***** with a squeaky-clean attached washroom. My favourite part of the property was the al-fresco dining and the outside shed. The gorgeous glass wall of the cozy shed offers a breathtaking view of the trees, Himalayas, and the valley. The food was exceptional and super fresh. They have an extensive menu, and everything I ate was lip-smacking. Even though I am a non-vegetarian, and they strictly serve vegetarian food, I did not miss my non-veg one bit. The hosts are super friendly and take care of all requests and more. They helped me with the itinerary and places to visit around the property. Kasar devi temple is a few minutes from the property and a must visit. The ridge near the temple is the best place to view the sunset from. They also arrange barbecues, picnics and high-tea on request. They recommended the Binsar wildlife sanctuary and the visit to Binsar was an experience. It is a beautiful remote gate sanctuary of thick forests with breathtaking views, winds, rich flora, and fauna. The folks at Shantiniketan were kind enough to pack us all that we needed for a picnic at Binsar and that was the most memorable days. I highly recommend Shantiniketan if you’re a lover of nature, peace and quiet. My visit left me rejuvenated and I cannot wait to be back.

Tucked away, a couple mins clim downhill from the main road makes it a perfect spot for anyone looking to spend time in nature. Truly a home away from home. Mindfully done up space, with so much attention to detail to make sure the guests are comfortable. Truly an eco friendly space. With no hidden costs at all. Home cooked food available, which is absolutely soulful. Everything prepared fresh, using freshest ingredients. The host is super helpful with all the support you need for making it a memorable stay. There are lovely books, games if at all you are caught up indoors due to bad weather. The beautiful glass room, the outdoors, there are so many places to spend time with yourself or company. And if you are solo, you will hopefully find good companions staying there too. Truly a peaceful place, as the name says “Shantiniketan” 💫🧡 There a quite a few things you can do around as day trips or half a day. If nothing, long walks are also a must have experience. Try and plan more than just a couple of days stay to truly enjoy the place.

Its a cozy homestay with delicious home made food. The host (Shivangi) made sure that I was comfortable and suggested great places for hike nearby. The view of the mountains from the property was amazing. Kasar Devi temple is nearby. Would definitely recommend this place if travelling solo or with friends/ family.
