Good hotel for work travel. Clean, fully-equipped. I like the place - nearly Abay street. Good laundry service. But breakfast 3/5. Also I was surprised that there is no aid kit and pills in the hotel. When I asked staff pills for headache they answer that I only can go to a pharmacy.

Treat basic hotel - very helpful staff that are always there to assist you - fairly good kitchen

Nice place to stay, clean and quiet

We stayed for 2 nights. On the 2nd day, the electricity was shut down twice in the afternoon and in the night time at 2.00 am until the morning. We sleep without aircon for almost 7 hours. It was our bad experience here.

Hotel is good But the aircon is not cool. Its like 27 - 28 degrees inside room during summer. Not able to adjust. Ask to change room , but still same aircon temperature. Mercure City centre is much cooler aircon inside room.

This experience with Holiday Inn was quite poor. In fact, it was like pulling teeth. I’m surprised they have a high rating online. I always look for hotels with air conditioning which was advertised in their listing and we booked the room accordingly. After checking in and turning the A/C on we fell asleep only to be awoken to a room which was much hotter than it started as. We checked the thermostat again - definitely on the cool setting and at full blast. The front desk was unable to provide a room with working A/C and on top of that refused to refund us. I am very heat intolerant and we moved to another hotel. When you don’t provide an amenity as advertised but slavishly adhere to your cancellation policy, you just are not providing customer service in line with most hotel standards today. I think when there is a major problem, you should be willing to resolve it with the guest.

Though the room is small, bit it's clean. Located in the city center about 15 mins walk to Bikanour subway station. A short yamdex ride to kok tobe cable car station and about 30 mins from airport.

Me and my mom stayed for a night for transit flight! and hotel was clean and staffs were helpful! will definitely stay again if i visit Almaty again

Just like all other Holiday Inns I’ve stayed, the rooms were clean and spacious, staff are accommodating and helpful. There was a good breakfast selection as well. This one is not located in the center of Almaty so there’s not much to do within walking distance at night. Overall, a good stay.

Staff are very friendly and very helpful. The location is ok not far from main area.
