Lovely decorations and sitting area. Nice breakfast. Very comfortable beds. Staff helpful. Very near bustop for airport. Good recommendation for dinner as restaurant shut on Sunday.
Coffee machine leaked and they could not change it or offer coffee on Sunday. Also very messy but we cleaned up with towels.

Charming hotel in central Ålesund. Excellent and kind staff, ice breakfast dining room. Wish I could have stayed longer!

What I like: excellent breakfast (probably one of the best in my years of travel), cleanliness, welcoming staff at the reception, central location (very close to the Byrampen Viewpoint and the bridge)
Paid parking in the same building as the hotel (pay at the automat machine inside the parking lot, NOK 250 per 24 hours)
Things that could be better: NOT black out curtain

The hotel is immaculate and very ornate! There is a 'NCP' type of car park (under the Scandic Parken Hotel) only 30 seconds walk from the hotel and an overnight cost is 250 krone which is very convenient. I didnt eat in the restaurant however the food looks great at other times, especially at breakfast.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean, breakfast was great, restaurant for dinner was about a 8/10 and the ambiance was calming and tastefully done.
House keeping missed a few things and was very late one day (they were still in our room at 5pm when we returned to get ready for dinner).
All lightning in the room is automated to two switches and cumbersome to use.

Strange hotel. Wanted to like it but felt like it was under renovation still. The quality of the renovation was also a little sketchy. The light fixture was broken in the room and the shower flooded the entire bathroom. Felt like quite strange decor a mix of new and old not really what you see on the website. The bar / breakfast area is stunning and much more in keeping with what I thought the rest of the hotel would be like. Nevertheless nothing was really wrong with our stay we just got a bit weirded out by the decor and renovation

Special thanks to Louisa at reception for being so empathetic and accommodating! We loved the hotel and definitely recommend. Nicely located near all the attractions and easy walk around the neighborhood to see the main points of interest in town. Close to the steps to the top of the mountain. Dinner also excellent, try the tempura schrimp as a strater, and the fish soup. Excellent menu. Very cozy and stylish ho, minimalist style and everything is very tasteful.
