Marriott needs to remove this hotel from its portfolio. It is nowhere near typical for the brand. The ONLY reason I give it a 2/5 is because (some) of the employees were very nice and helpful - especially the agent I was app chatting with after checkout (management, please recognize him or her), and also my breakfast server Yasmine. 1. Unpleasant check-in - this agent was not friendly and rushed through the check in faster than I have ever seen. I had to ask about my breakfast coupons (as a titanium), and after being "reminded" of that, he told me to come back each day for new coupons for the next day. I really don't understand that inconvenience; every Marriott I've ever been to just gives me one coupon for the whole stay, or one for each day. I don't think he looked up at me once. 2. Signs everywhere scolding you to pay for your parking - it is indeed ridiculous they charge for parking, but since they have no control mechanism for that, they seem to unprofessionally put it on the guests. Rather than pulling a ticket or relying on gates, they just put signs everywhere yelling at you to make sure you pay. It makes you feel very resented. 3. Rooms are disgusting - this is well covered in other reviews. From the 90s maybe. Dark, worn, damaged, and generally gross feeling. Not anywhere near marriott standards. I am glad you have a renovation planned, but the reminders of that don't really help at the moment. 4. Club lounge closed on weekends - literally one of the reasons I stayed here, as I wanted to enjoy my access as a titanium member. No warning in advance that it's closed on weekends, nothing on the app or website. That is a Marriott guaranteed benefit that they are supposed to compensate for if unavailable, but the hotel doesn't care about that (more on that next). 5. Late checkout for Titanium member denied - Again, this is a guaranteed benefit, not "on request". I was told that they "just weren't doing that this weekend". It's a contractually guaranteed benefit that Marriott offers. They could not care less. Literally, another reason I stayed here; if I knew it wasn't possible I would have went to the holiday inn. 6. Unpleasant check-out - When she asked "how was everything?" and I responded "Not great" she didn't even look up, didn't inquire further, just said "have a nice day" and sent me on my way. I guess it makes sense. 7. Computer system to email folio doesn't work - this is where the friendly agent helped me out, and I appreciate it, but your technology doesn't send the bill after checkout. Unfortunately, that means I'm probably not getting a Marriott survey on email either, and my only option is to leave a TripAdvisor review. Overall - bad facilities, bad policies, and lots of apathetic staff (with some exceptions). If the club lounge is closed, and if you "just don't do" late checkouts during busy weekends, you should probably put a disclaimer on the website, or email guests in advance. They will choose to stay elsewhere. Th
