It feels a bit mean to only give it 4 as on the whole the service was really good. I was a bit disappointed at the lack of choice for breakfast, maybe because it’s low season I don’t know. I had to choose either English or continental the day before along with the time I wanted it. I was expecting a buffet where you can eat what you want when you want. That being said, they bent over backwards to make sure I had a good veggie breakfast and were really lovely people. The cleaners changed my towels daily I think, but the cleaning was disappointing. Maybe because I kept the room clean and tidy I don’t know, but there were clumps of hair on the balcony for a few days which put me off using it. The reception staff were really helpful and very quick to respond if I needed anything. To be clear, I didn’t report the hair on the balcony but was hoping the cleaners would remove. The apartments are quite dated but comfortable and well equipped. The tv only shows BBC news or US news channels and MTV in terms of English TV although some English speaking films have subtitles. The location is close to the strip which has a stunning little beach at the other end, and about 40 minutes walk from the old town.

I stayed here with my Son during November '24. The purpose of our holiday was a cycling trip in the area so we were out of the room for much of the time. Our trip cost me £500 for a week through Jet2 and we couldn't argue with anything at all for that price, that's less than it would have cost us for an air bnb in Cornwall. Sure, the hotel isn't what a UK 4* hotel would be classed as, but ratings are given on facilities (it ticks the bar / pool etc boxes) not luxury. We found the rooms dated but comfortable. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to help, it had a family run feel to it. The rooms are spacious with enough room for us both, two bikes and all the kit. Plenty of car parking spaces too. For the price we paid, we really couldn't fault the place!

We were a group of 3 girls. Staff are excellent and polite. Room was basic, but clean and big enough for 3. Security at night are polite. Pool clean. Pool staff and pool bar staff excellent. Ideally located to new step. Great British pub across road Fat Cats. Excellent Indian restaurant around the corner Clay Oven and a short taxi to old strip or a 20 minute walk. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! To begin with the pool was filthy the whole time we was at the hotel - clearly does not get cleaned. Our room stank of drainage throughout our whole stay to the point on a couple of nights we could not stay in there as the smell was so bad. We also had money stolen from our room which when we reported it to reception they immediately became extremely defensive and rude explaining that it was 100% not their staff and then further accusing us for stealing our own money from our room. Overall the situation was handled very unprofessionally and gave the impression that they really couldn’t care less.

Well equipped self-catering room with nice view of city and sea in distance. Very helpful and friendly reception team. Nice, well kept pool area. Well situated for local Pingo Doce supermarket across the road and other local shops. 5 min walk to The Strip, if that's your thing, but we preferred the old town or marina. Lovely long beach. The rep recommended the Uber app, which proved to be fantastic with taxis being super quick to arrive and inexpensive. We wouldn't recommend the historical day trip as most of the day was spent on the coach and not at the places you wanted to explore - car rental or local buses would be a better option. Would definitely recommend the hotel though and stay there again.

Amazed at how nice this place was after reading some not too good reviews. Our studio was immaculate and had everything we could need and more. Excellent location and great value for money, we've stayed in places and paid more than twice the cost of this accommodation and no where near as good. We'd definitely return and highly recommend. Don't be scared to book.
