Such polite staff and very helpful always smiling. Rooms are perfectly adequate and sizeable. The amenities are terrific with a fun and large pool area which is clean and gets lots of sun year round

Having read previous reviews I was open minded about this hotel, we are just back after an amazing week there. I will start with the negative which is rather brief....2 negatives..... room was a bit outdated & could do with a general refurb & the lack of snacks at the pool, not even a packet of crisps. Positives are numerous, room was functional & had all the essential amenities. Bed was comfy & we had all that we needed. Staff were in general courteous & helpful, polite & professional. Location is really good, less than a 10 minute walk to the ***** and the Oura beach. Close to some beautiful restaurants & cocktail bars. Overall we would recommend a visit here, the good definitely outweighs the bad. Pool is amazing too ‍♀️

The third time we have stayed at this venue. Standards remain high Friendly welcome on arrival We were early so unable to check in but we completed all the paperwork so that when room was ready it was a swift process We wandered back for 2pm Room was ready and we were grateful to benefit from an upgrade to an apartment. Room 410. Clean tidy well prepared apartment. Whilst some of the furniture may look a little tired, causes us no issues so long that the room is kept clean. Views out onto the main road / with the ocean visible on the horizon No issues with staff, cleaners, reception and all other staff were friendly enough. Pool clean. Plenty of beds There were occasional groups of lads around the pool but they got boisterous on only a few occasions No noise through the night. One of the two lifts was out of action for most of our stay, but no real pressure on lift space when required. Thanks everyone at MGM for a fab 10 night stay.

Stayed here for 7 nights self catering. Can’t fault the place, we were upgraded to a better room which had a massive open living area separate to the bedroom. Pool area is beautiful. Staff on reception went above and beyond nothing was ever an issue.

Just back from 4 nights at this hotel. I have to say I was a bit apprehensive after reading some previous reviews about noisy guests and poorly maintained rooms etc but thankfully my experience was excellent. On arrival we were far too early to check in as expected but thankfully we were given our all inclusive wristbands by lunchtime and were quite happy to stay by the pool availing of some drinks until 4pm when we got checked in and were upgraded to a two room apartment. Whilst it was a little dated the facilities were good and it was spacious, clean and comfortable with a decent sized balcony. I didn’t feel that the hotel was overrun by groups of young people at all. There seemed to be mainly families with younger kids as well as families with early 20 something kids who were all well behaved. I liked the fact that there was also quite a lot of Portuguese guests too. In terms of the All inclusive you can have drinks at the pool bar during the day until 6pm and use the buffet at the sister hotel next door for breakfast/lunch/dinner. It’s only a short walk across the pool and out the gate at the back. You can also eat and drink at the pool bars at all of their other hotels in the group which are all very close by and you can book into all the hotel non buffet restaurants. However, for the restaurants you have to book in advance. The buffet food was fine and plentiful albeit slightly repetitive and sometimes could have been a bit warmer. For my purposes being there for only a few nights it suited well. Location was really good too. Close enough to the ***** (5 min walk) yet far enough away from being in the madness and also very handy to the beach. There is a supermarket Nextdoor to the entrance which was just below our room and an atm and bars/restaurants Nextdoor/ opposite. Decent sized pool too with a deep end and the young girl serving at the pool bar was very friendly. I would have no hesitation returning here.

Fantastic hotel with a lovely atmosphere and the entertainment Yoandy and Nirma were both so much fun and fabulous dance teachers. They had a full dance floor of very happy people. Thanks so much, we would definitely love to come back here again soon

The hotel is amazing! Got a beautiful room at the top of the hotel with a pool view, it's a 5/10min walk to the local beach. Staff are all epic especially Gina & Bob at reception of OuraPraia Nothings a problem for them, great energy & smiles & they are very helpful! ... Really enjoyed the water gym & rising stretches with Lilyanna & Ljadiel the entertainment staff over at Fote da oura. Lauro at (OuraPraia) they all have amazing energy & the biggest smiles. The housekeeping are wonderful & very pleasant. All resturants are great, going all inclusive & having the bonus of a different resturant on most nights was amazing! Everyone at the hotel helped make the holiday very enjoyable.

This my second time in this hotel. I love Portugal, and I'd like to thank all the staff in this hotel for being friendly, professional and very accomodating, especially Natalia the Customer Care. Lovely hotel and clean rooms. Food also nice. I would love to be back soon and recommend it to everyone. Many thanks MGM Oura Praia.

From having to walk elsewhere for drinks after 6pm, let alone having to walk 100 meters to another hotel for the all inclusive amnesties this hotel has done nothing but disappoint. Me and my partner (both early 20s) found this hotel advertised as having many food options, a pool table (is broken and they simply dont care) and all around a good environment. I really enjoyed being woken up to drunk people ringing my rooms doorbell and banging on the door at 3am - even though it is a room within earshot of the reception and they dont seem to notice somehow? The rooms not being cleaned until 5pm some nights is another bad point, as this is when most people would want to go and get themselves ready for the evening. This is difficult without clean towels. Also I would like to mention the food at the buffet in the sister hotel we had to use for our all inclusive (again, a joke of a system) was below par and a major miss. We had to eat out a good 5/10 nights as it just wasn't nice. There is also no entertainment except a darts game that no one wants to play at 3pm. Everywhere else I have ever stayed has evening entertainment, but somehow this hotel still manages to be lacking in yet another department. Save yourself the money and avoid this hotel, it is a joke its even regarded a 2 star.
