Albufeira Jardim Apartamentos Turisticos

It is not a hotel or an apartment hotel but it's rather a residential area that has been transformed into a business of apartments for renting. The idea may not be bad but the apartments are in very poor conditions. Pavement in bad conditions all around the common areas, walls of the apartments chipped off needing some painting urgently and dirty, very small kitchen and barely equipped, pool area without a lifesaver!!!! . There is nobody in the pool to watch people who have a bath which are often bothered by the boys around playing football inside and outside of the pool...the place definitely needs a renovation and be run by someone who really care for the guests.

3rd Visit, great visit again, place and appartment excellent, great views over albufeira, appt spotless, pool area great, plenty of sun beds and shade, bar and restaurant has plenty to offer, normally had lunch there, excellent choice and price. You need to be able and fit to walk back to appt! As on the hill This year went on a boat dolphin watching and visiting caves great experience. Loads of restaurants to eat out plenty of choice. Defo be back!

Perfect location for the old town Lovely to walk down but may need a Uber back as the hills are horrendous Quiet location Apartments are private and rented but able to still book through a main booking system Only thing unsure about this time round is the reception isn’t the main reception anymore it’s for owners only so checking in is slightly more confusing

We stayed for 2 nights, upgraded for a small fee from a basic room to Superior Room number 149 - modern with a good view. Recommend upgrading as the standard rooms are old fashioned. We used the apartment as a base to explore the old town, the beach and the marina. Everything is within walking distance. Bring comfy shoes, there is alot of walking to be done. Highly recommend Cafe in-certo for breakfast / lunch / cocktails. Highly recommend Jaipur Indian restaurant for evening meal. Please note the hotel has alot of steps within the grounds and the apartments are up a steep hill with uneven ground which is not well lit at night time. All in, cheap digs and a good base to explore the area. You would be best to take your own beach towels. Notes to hotel : please install lighting on the paved walkway from the main road up to the apartments. Hotel exterior could be painted white as from the beach this is the only hotel which is discoloured.

Where to start if you like camping then do that instead. This place was like nothing in my years of travelling. Minus 5 for rating is not an option but it should be. If you love black mould and silver fish as a basic life form then this is the place for you, as they are in abundance. Everything in this self catering apartment is less then basic, truly this place needs to be taken off anyone’s holiday stay. The decor is more then tired, it’s exhausted. Should have been condemned a long time ago. It’s that horror story that you need to see to believe. You can complain but the office is never open so it will be by phone. Avoid listen to the reviews. Needs someone to go in and get it shut down , so an investor can bring it back to life. Has all the hallmarks of being a gold mine. Has it stands its dump. One thing going for it is the area it is located and the people who run the bar. You have been warned

We have just returned from a 4 night break here, I was worried after reading the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Our room was basic but clean, it isn’t 5 star & you get what you pay for but for a cheap and cheerful break it was good enough. The pools are a good size and the staff were lovely and friendly. I really do think people just like to moan! Get some comfy shoes - those hills are something else! Although you could always get a tuktuk. We really enjoyed our time here and we will definitely be back!
