We stayed one night in Albion to attend a special evening event on the Albion College campus. Our room, # 315, was spacious, well appointed and very clean. We found the employees to be friendly and helpful. Since this hotel is on the main street in downtown, it was conveniently located to the college and other shops. We will definitely stay here again!

Spacious room but bathroom had mold . Go out for breakfast since it doesn’t come with the room. It was a cooked-to-order meal but unfortunately there was just one person in the kitchen so by the time everyone got served it was cold. The ingredients were high quality but the restaurant was poorly staffed. Our server/cook/cashier hustled but cooking a hot breakfast without help was impossible.

I have stayed at this Courtyard 3 times and every visit has been great. I love the outdoor firepit and surrounding area. It is a nice way to pass the time with friends. The staff is exceptional. I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

This hotel is a gem in a small industrial/college town. It is a modern Courtyard with a friendly staff and terrific location in downtown Albion, across the street from the refurbished Bohm theater. It is a quarter mile from the Albion College campus and three blocks from the acclaimed Albion Malleable Brewing Company. The Bistro cafe food is excellent and affordable. The rooms on the Superior Street side have the best views, but there is some street noise. The hotel can be quite full on weekends when the college is in session. It also serves as an overflow accommodation when there are big events in nearby Marshall, Jackson or Battle Creek.

I paid in full when I made the reservation on **********. The check-in was terrible and took a really long time, the staff didn't know what to do and kept disappearing to get help. After checkout 4 days later, I realized my credit card was charged AGAIN for the room. I tried to call them on 2 different days and spoke to 2 different people. They realized it was a mistake on their end but none of them knew how to issue a refund on the computer. During our 4-night stay, our room was never cleaned even though the policy states cleaning every other day. The hotel itself is nice and modern though. The staff really needs some serious training

First things first. I love the setting of this hotel. Nestled onto the "main drag" of Albion, Michigan, there is lots of character to the immediately surrounding area. The hotel was clean and well kept, and the staff was friendly. WIth that being said, two significant issues arose during my visit that lowered my rating of the hotel. (1) There was a sandwich board in the main lobby indicating the hours for the Bistro, where I planned to eat breakfast. When my party got down there, we were informed that the Bistro wasn't serving breakfast. I walked them over to the sandwich board, which still had the hours for breakfast on the sign. I got a shrug and a "sorry". There are NO restaurants that serve breakfast anywhere remotely near the hotel, so my party of 6 ended up driving 2 cars to a McDonalds near the interstate 5 miles away. Honestly, I wouldn't have booked at this hoted had I known the bistro was closed for breakfast. (2) I had called the property day before arrival for an early check in. I am a Titanium Elite rewards member, and a 2pm check in would have been helpful as my party was headed to Ann Arbor (2 hours travel with gameday traffic) afterwards. I was told this would be no problem at all. When I arrived onsite, I was told early check in before 3pm wouldn't be possible. Neither of these things were "devastating" to the experience, although the Bistro closure was a significant inconvenience. If not for these two negative issues, I would have consider giving it a 5. Perhaps they have resolved their staffing issues now (my stay was in November 2021).

My wife and I came up to celebrate Tim & Carolyn Kurtz 30 yr ministry celebration. Tim reserved 3 rooms at your hotel for guests. Wow, just wow. The check in process went smoothly thanks to Raquel. She was kind and engaging. She The room, 202, with its nice and comfortable king size bed, lounge loveseat, well appointed lighting and amazing modern walk in shower (really loved the design and aesthetic) were super clean and fresh. The hotel is located right downtown and centrally located on Superior Ave, the main street. I happened to have done lots of research about Albion before coming up and found so many hidden treasures/stories and excellent historians which helped make our 1st trip to Albion much more exciting. I needed to make some copies and find supplies and another employee came through for me. Keesha (I believe that was her name) helped me figure out how to use the printer and got me what I needed. There happened to be a dollar general a block away from the hotel and I was able to get the supplies that I needed. The lobby has comfortable chairs and is well designed for comfort and accessibility to all parts of the hotel. Unfortunately, the Bistro wasn't open in the morning . . . really needed a cup of coffee. Walked out the door around 7:30 am looking for a place to grab some coffee and couldn't find anything open. It was a Saturday morning. Overall, we would definitely recommend this Courtyard by Marriott for your next stay if you are ever in the area!
