Highly recommend this place! We were treated so well. They were very accommodating to us as we were traveling on bicycle. The home is beautiful. There are lovely gardens to enjoy. Our room was quiet, clean, and felt safe.

We recently spent one night the Morgan State House and was left with the same general impression as other reviews. While the inn is beautiful, there were a number of disappointments. It was a hot day, and the portable AC could not keep up with the heat. We used the fans that we found in the closet to supplement the AC. As someone else had noted, the wooden shutters were broken and wouldn't shut. Breakfast was very basic with store bought (Costco?) muffins and English Muffins. It was very much do it yourself as well, which is not on par with B&B's of this quality.

Stayed here for a wedding weekend, along with the bride and groom and some of the rest of the wedding party. Chuck and John made us feel so at home, letting us use the building as if it were our own house. The building itself is beautiful, and the rooms are clean, spacious, and beds super comfortable. Highly recommend for the amazing hospitality!

Stayed in main house. Steep stairs although did get help taking luggage upstairs. We had the room 3F which is on the third floor in the front. The windows look out at the tops of the trees which is nice but the old wooden shutters are broken so cannot close all the way. The shower in the bathroom is really small and there is one sink. We did enjoy the lovely back yard. Sadly, their kitchen island is damaged. Seems like they are not keeping up with maintenance. I agree with others that the breakfast is a disappointment for a Bed and Breakfast spot. Had to call down to the person in the basement to check out. This place had looked promising...but I would not stay there again.

Excellent location and our room was in the condo building which had a small kitchen Bed was superb and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay Breakfast in the main house 4 doors away was more than adequate and the ambience of the old house with Tiffany lighting was like bringing in a different era Would have no hesitation of recommending

The Morgan State House is my favorite place to stay in Albany. It's beautiful and comfortable, well located within walking distance of restaurants and the state capitol, and serves a lovely breakfast. I want to give them a particular shout-out as I forgot my cell phone in my room last week, and did not realize it until I was on the train. They carefully packaged it and mailed it by overnight service. I was impressed by their responsiveness and deeply grateful for the rapid resolution of my careless oversight.

We stayed at the Morgan State House while visiting family in Albany. Chuck was an exceptional host and welcomed us into this beautiful home. The historic details in the main house are a sight to see. It is well-appointed and we felt at home enjoying the amenities. We stayed in a studio suite (including a full kitchen) in the next building overlooking the park. We wish we had more time and will definitely be coming back.

The room was beautiful, extremely clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. We were greeted by Leo who was welcoming, warm and friendly. He gave us a sheet listing hotels and shops. The location is central to many restaurants and across from Washington Park. The brownstone building is a landmark and has a very nice enclosed backyard. We loved our stay and recommend it enthusiastically.

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are in the area. Clean and comfortable rooms. Our host Chuck was very welcoming! We enjoyed sitting outside in the lovely patio area. Breakfast was delicious and enjoyed in the beautiful dining room. Restaurants within walking distance was very convenient.
