The World Backwaters, Alleppey

Fantastic find in the heart of the backwaters. Right on the lake with serene views and wonderful ambience. The staff were so attentive, spa/massage excellent and the pool is great for a dip- especially at sunset. Rooms are big and well equipped. I would say “classic/traditional” in design, not modern, but characterful. The breakfast was plentiful and restaurant menu extensive, well priced and delicious. Wish I’d stayed longer to savour more of the options! A few nice (free) extras were a pleasant surprise during my stay, including a high-tea mid afternoon, followed by a short cooking class. The staff can also assist with boat trips which pick up directly from their own private jetty! I recommend this resort 100% and the friendly, polite staff make it feel so welcoming.

Beautiful is an adjective that describes most of the state of Kerala. For this place overlooking the vembanad lake I will call it mesmerizing, tranquil, quiet, peaceful, green soothing to the eye. And much much more. vembanad lake stands true to its title of being the longest lake in the country. Spend time by the lake looking out at the local fishermen in a small boat pushing forward looking for their catch. Or the house boats floating in the wanderlust of the lake. Chinese Fishing nets in the lake by the property add to the oompah of the site. Sit back, relax and enjoy your vacation/staycation/weekend sojourn. Spacious airy rooms and hammocks by the lake side tempt you to take the siesta you been longing for, need not worry about the time of the day. Cheenawala will help you with you cravings of the soul and stomach.

Extremely well maintained property! Quite picturesque! Food served is great! The view of the Vembanad Lake is quite breathtaking! The hotel itself has backwaters, which houses varieties of fish, turtles etc. The day will be made with views of colourful butterflies thronging the well kept plants in your balcony!

The stay at the  World Backwaters Resort in Allepy, was just perfect and the ambience was out of this world. Perfectly serene, calm and peaceful . We as a family including our kids and parents and had an amazing time . A surprise was that they upgraded us to a suite room. The staff were very professional,  caring and paid great attention to detail. Aswathy's mannerism with clients is truly commendable.  She ensured everything was planned for aur anniversary celebration,  making sure all the requests were catered for above and beyond what we had asked for. Of particular note was the way all the staff across the resort interacted and engaged with us. This was with utmost professionalism,  customer service and friendly nature. The rooms were fabulous.  Two massive bedrooms with a private pool. Our kids had a ball. All the amenities were of high quality . The villas itself were pristine and well kept. The cleanliness was of particular note. We had the buffet  dinner and lunch. It was delicious, multi cuisine and all the staff at the restaurant ensured that all needs were met. A bit shout out to executive chef Pratheesh who heads the kitchen for planning such an extensive menu . Something that was a stand out was how every cultural and age needs were taken into consideration while planning the menu. Sous chef Krishna Kumar made us a wonderful anniversary cake. It was delicious and just made our special day even more special. It was a true relaxing, splendid and amazing experience.  Highly recommend it for families with kids. The natural beauty of the backwaters was breathtaking and peaceful. 

Excellent service by Indraja, Vishnu, Athul, Pramod and Krishnala. Warm hospitality and great food. Very considerate of the guests requests. Well thought out intricate outdoor decorations and detailing. Villa with private pool was very well maintained.

It was our best stay in Kerala .. The world backwaters team goes above nd beyond to fulfill guest's expectations. Hospitality was way too good. I will surely recommend others to opt for this resort. You will get luxurious facilities to be around. Resort is based on the banks of vembanad lake. Aswathy guides us very well from the initials till the end. Thanks for giving us the wonderful experience.
