Having vacationed in Akumal as a family for the last 20 years, Lol Ha and the Hotel Akumal Caribe were the obvious choice for my daughter and her fiancé wedding (40 ppl) and not only did they not disappoint, they exceeded every expectation (and I am quite particular). From Manuel at reception, who ensured every overnight guest had exactly what they needed in their beautiful guest room to Carlos and Miguel who delivered mind blowing drinks and food. And Laura, the owner, was behind the scenes throughout to make sure no detail was missed. Akumal has always had a special place in my heart and now even more so thanks to all of you.

We have been returning to Hotel Akumal Caribe for over 20 years; it is truly our happy place! The staff is so welcoming and treat guests like family. We have come to know many of the hotel and restaurant employees over the years and they all go above and beyond to take care of guests at the hotel. This is a small family owned oasis in the middle of large all inclusive resorts and we will always choose Akumal Caribe over any of the neighboring resorts. The beach at Akumal Caribe is among the best we've ever seen; it's an amazing place to relax and unwind. The snack bar is a great option for lunch or dinner and Happy Hour is a must! We highly recommend Hotel Akumal Caribe and look forward to getting back there soon!

My husband, Robert & I just returned from our 4th visit to HAC ~ another fantastic stay in beautiful Akumal. The welcoming smiles when we check in after the long day of travel can only mean, "Welcome Home" ~ we stayed in 417 with it's lovely view of the pool area & the sounds of the birds & the sea. Our room was maintained by a very nice lady & gentleman ~ always smiling & greeting us with "Hola, Buenos Dias" what a wonderful way to start our day. Speaking of starting our day, nothing beats a breakfast @ The Lolha ~ big ups to the Waitstaff (Juan & Gregorio) & the gentleman preparing our delicious breakfasts ~ The Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Bagel was out of this world, knew I should have ordered it twice (next time) ~ the food presentation is top notch. Again, we figured on trying some new places, didn't happen ~ not when you have the Lolha's extensive menu right there ~ yes, we ate good & drank good, too!! Have to give credit to the guys who took such great care of us there ~ so thank you Oscar, Ernesto (Ernie), Alberto (Bert), Willy, Fernando, Arturo (Artie) & the rest of the crew. Would like to mention our missing Rafa, who we toasted to every evening with a shot of Correlejo & know he was looking down with a smile. This trip we had the opportunity to meet Laura Wolfe, a very gracious lady who takes such pride in her establishment & staff. Thank you again Hotel Akumal Caribe & The Lolha for another successful trip ~ look forward to our return next Spring!! Patricia Rinka

We loved this boutique resort right on the beautiful beach! Our room was 402 and we were merely steps from the turquoise sea where we could snorkel. We saw many turtles and rays and other gorgeous fish. Also, the staff were superb and always ready to assist with every question or request. Our first-class treatment started with Leon when I was planning the trip from home. He answered all my questions very quickly, which is nice when planning a trip. Then, when we arrived, Manuel at the reception desk was a wonderful resource with so much information...and just such a nice hombre! And we rented a golf cart a couple of times from Caesar, who was also very accommodating. The restaurant was also exceptional with lots of variety. We became friends with both Rafael and Oscar - the most fun amenable guys! There is a dive center onsite, which we utilized to snorkel with the turtles. Totally worth it! We highly recommend this spot and will be back.

We spent 4 days in this lovely hotel. Our room was just perfect, with real Ocean View. The staff, from the reception to the bar and the restaurant super friendly and well organizes under the supervision of a great manager. On top : food and drinks are great (and value for money). Congrats

Totally worn out. At a beach hotel you expect a terrace. There was none of that here. There was also no television in the room, although one now finally had time to watch the news. Admittedly, there was a fridge and a coffee machine, but only coffee to make one time. Then no more was delivered. A cupboard was also missing and the chest of drawers was jointless. The restaurant was extremely expensive.

Just returned from our 3rd stay @ Hotel Akumal Caribe ~ had a wonderful time. Loved our ground floor (deluxe kitchenette) room (406) just steps away from the pool & beach. Nothing better than waking up to the birds singing & enjoying a cup of coffee on our patio. You know your day is going to be a good one, when Juan (goundskeeper) greets you with a "Hola, Buenos Dias" as he starts his day. But, then ALL the people employed @ this property are super friendly & make you feel like family each & everyday. Our room was cleaned by a very nice gentleman (forgot to get his name) always with a smile & a "hope you are having a nice visit." We had all our meals down by the Lolha ~ excellent food/drinks/service!! Big ups to Oscar, Willy, Rafael, Alberto, Jordy & the rest of the crew. Again, always service with a smile. Hotel Akumal Caribe & The Lolha are a perfect example of how a property/restaurant should be run & I'm sure other properties could learn a valuable lesson from them. Until next year (already have my 2024 calendar out) wishing everyone a Merry Christmas & all the very best in the New Year. Patricia & Bob

We loved the staff and the food. Rooms are very clean and the pool and beach are beautiful. The air conditioner in our room could have been cooler. Our only complaint would be the mass numbers of snorkeling/diving shop customers and the boats anchored on the beach obstructing our views and access to the water.
