Excellent hotel with great food available 24/7 (few hours excluded). Conveniently close to the beach, but slightly distant from the old city.

It’s nice hotel with good service, you always can eat good foods.

Ramada Resort by Windham Lara Beach Absolutely fabulous hotel! The food was excellent, great choice, fresh salads, cold meats, hot dishes, fruit & deserts! All tasty and fresh. Loved the patisserie and “pancakes” with spinach or cheese freshly made during lunch time. SO TASTY!! Very clean. I was very impressed with room cleanliness, same with restaurant, reception, pool area and in general. No fighting for sun beds :) Plenty of those! Nice pools, great slides. Safeguards always making sure we are safe and kids (and adults) are following the rules. Beautiful beach and everything really what you could get at the hotel is at the beach too. Toilets, restaurant, fridges with water, pool with slides, free sun beds and towels. Free shuttle bus from the hotel to the beach (or you can walk too, 10 minutes maybe steady walk). Lots of shops around the hotel, mini shopping centres with everything you need. There’s a shop in the hotel too.

You upgraded our room which was fantastic and the staff went above and beyond especially when my wife had a medical episode near the beach on our first day (she’s fine now). Our stay with 7 people was wonderful. 2 swimming pools, a balcony with each room we had (2 rooms), and a wonderful buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but there was one bad side. In Room 2, (4 people), there were only 3 single beds. There was another one, but it was on the floor. Sadly, one of us had to sleep on the floor.

Where to begin we got robbed within 24 hours of being here, £30 was stolen out of my mum's purse in her handbag which was kept in the closet. My brand new perfume which I brought at the airport was opened, The staff refused to take any blame or even apologised for the distress situation. So I emailed the manager and they said they would allow us to eat free at the restaurants which we found out were free anyway. Staff do not speak good English and can come across rude as they much prefer the Germans than British because they tip more... Markets outside charge you double than they charge the locals because they know you're stupid enough to pay high prices. Whatever price they say is probably double what they pay. Will not be coming back to this part of turkey as it is not the same friendly place that it once was. On the plus side There was a nice cleaner who came round the pool called Meydanci abdurrahman, he was nice and smiley and polite. The entertainment staff were lovely and patient with kids that's all the positives I can think of.

We came as a family, 2 adults and 3 children. We had a family suite which was very comfortable and roomy. The lobby area was really large and so comfortable to relax in. As we visited mid-December, the hotel was decorated with a Christmas theme and it felt very festive. By the time we left we felt like we’d already celebrated it! It was all inclusive and we found the food to be very good with lots of variety. Foods were generally labelled with allergens. There are shops down the road and at least grocery shop, with decent prices, I think where locals shop. There were a lot of interesting small and large shops with loads of replica items. None were very good so definitely stay away from buying from them! To the left, with the hotel behind you, there’s a salon where apparently they do nails, don’t get your nails done there, it was a complete waste of money! There’s an ATM to your right if you need cash. It’s quite easy to get into town which is well worth visiting although it was quite far, we took cabs at a reasonable price. The staff were pleasant at the hotel, and friendly.

We stayed in the Ramada for a week and we had the best time on our family holiday. The hotel is lovely, the pools are beautiful and the beach is idyllic. That said, there's massive room for improvement in the staffing area. The friendliest staff are by far the hard working cleaners and bar staff. The young woman who lifts glasses at the bar always has a smile on her face and never stops working and Gokhan at the 24hr bar was a gent. Other staff in the food area would do well to learn from them. In regards to the main eating area - I firmly believe there needs to be some hygiene rules in place. Guests should NOT be allowed in food serving areas bare chested. Even in Spain they can't be bare chested in super markets yet in this hotel there were men with hairy chests leaning over food. (This was worse in the beach area when they often only had wet shorts on and women with hair dangling over food. I genuinely think there should be rules about this and they should be adhered to) The food was lovely and fresh, the fruit and salad bars were always full and plenty of meat was available too. The fried chicken at the main beach restaurant was delicious and kept topped up throughout the day. We didn't really lie by the pool during the day but we noticed that people would leave their towels there first thing and nobody else could get a sunbed. Although rules posted around the hotel warn visitors that their towels would be removed after 30 minutes- this wasn't enforced. The shuttle bus was great, on the warmest of days a two minute drive to the beach was welcome, but it's also only a short walk across the road too and there's always sun beds at the beach. The beach bar staff were always friendly and made an effort to remember what you'd had to drink previously, which was lovely. Though beware: the beach and outside areas attract mosquitos - don't go here without some kind of mosquito spray!! As the beach area is where a lot of the night entertainment is held, it's best to be prepared! Our rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard by the friendly cleaners. If there was one thing I would change it would be that the hotel offered a courtesy room for those people whose flights are later at night. Check out is 12 noon but we weren't being lifted til 9pm. Whilst we still had full use of all the facilities until we were picked up, we had to shower in the spa. When I went there were about 5 other women in the tiny room (where there's only one shower) and people who were using the spa also had to change in that room. It just doesn't work and isn't comfortable for anyone. All that said, we had a lovely holiday and none of the negatives I've mentioned had any effect on our stay. We enjoyed an Antalya city trip for €30 each and that included a beautiful lunch in the nicest rustic restaurant as well as an hour boat trip. I would highly recommend.
