Tai Roto Bay

Tai Roto Bay far exceeded my expectations. From the warm welcome upon arrival, to the extra touch of fresh picked flowers adored throughout the room, to the tropical curated breakfast, to the excellent location that is walking distance to several fantastic eateries, my only regret is not spending more time to enjoy the property. I fortunately/unfortunately had a rather aggressive itinerary with excursions planned daily. The sweet people that work at Tai Roto Bay made a point to get to know my name and familiarize themselves with my itinerary.. even asking the day after how my plans worked out. The grounds were immaculately manicured. Air con was nice and cold. Mattress was super comfy. Being a solo traveler, I often would walk back to Tai Roto bay sometimes even in the dark and couldn't feel more safe. I 100% will be staying here again and have told all my friends/family about this lovely slice of heaven.

Everything about Tai Roto Bay was great. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Cheran booked bikes, restaurants for us, the breakfasts were delicious and catered for gluten free. The villas are private, and are very comfortable. The beach in front of the villas has kayaks and paddleboards to use freely or you can laze on the loungers with a book. After 7 nights stay, we did not want to leave. We will definitely be returning to this special place.

The rooms are gorgeous and the bed was super comfy. As well as aircon, there are the louves to allow fresh breeze into the room. Great sized deck that remains shaded if you want out of the sun. The breakfasts were scrumptious, and varied. There's plenty of deck chairs and loungers by the beach and coconut trees for shade ... beach towels are provided too. Views of the lagoon are incredible and we made good use of the paddleboards and kayaks. Accommodation is close to a couple of amazing restaurants and a cafe abt 5-10 min walk away. Can also hire a scooter direct from accommodation too. The staff were friendly and provided great service. We really enjoyed our stay ❤️

Our stay at Tai Roto Bay Villas was everything we had hoped for and more. The bungalows have an authentic island feel, are clean and comfortable. The views are superb, even from the Garden Bungalow where we stayed. Cheran and her team were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The daily breakfast delivered to the villa was generous, fresh and delicious. Perfect location on the island, with a private protected beach on the lagoon. Close to Koru Cafe who has the best coffee on the Island too. And with only 6 bungalows, there's never more than 12 people staying at any one time. All the bungalows have garden hedges separating them, so very private. If you're looking for somewhere quiet, friendly and relaxing, you can't go wrong with Tai Roto Bay.

Tai Roto is stunning, the people are more than welcoming, you feel part of the place not a visitor to it. The most relaxing and enjoyable vacation ever. It's very close to great food, coffee and of course the amazing lagoon that you can never get enough of.

I can't say enough good things about our stay here and Aitutaki in general. I've been fortunate to go to many nice tropical vacations and this is now my favorite. Tai Roto Bay Beach Villas is on the airport side of the island. There are three restaurants within walking distance and a coffee cafe that closes mid afternoon. The facility is clean, comfortable, beautifully situated on a lagoon with a quiet beach. A short walk is a private island/hotel, with places to snorkel along the way. A really nice place to snorkel is on the opposite side of the airport. You can get there by bicycle or scooter, but we went when we had a car for the day. The beach is beautiful and empty. There are lots of shells, but there are strict rules on what and where you can gather shells. Its actually illegal to take shells out of the country without getting approval from local authorities. They just wants to make sure you aren't taking any protected shells. Taking shells is generally frowned upon as many hermit crabs need them for homes. Each morning they bring you a wonderful, healthy breakfast. Anyway, this is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are all wonderful. I highly recommend staying here. Go during the "dry" season!
