Kahanda Kanda

This was my third time back to Kahanda Kanda and it just keeps getting better and better. George Cooper and his staff do a wonderful job of making sure their guests are happy and their attention to detail is incredible. The villas are beautiful and comfortable, the food is delicious and it is all set on a tea planation with gorgeous views.Their sister hotel on the beach near Galle is a bonus as well as guests at the hotel on the tea plantation can take a short tuk tuk ride and spend the day at the beach if they wish. I love this place and it is the ultimate in relaxation and comfort. I can’t wait to go back.

My husband and I stayed in the Tamarind suite and it was an absolutely beautiful space. The property was gorgeous and we loved sitting on our balcony and watching the monkeys and peacocks. We really enjoyed the access to the beach property and appreciated the fact that the hotel arranged a tuk tuk to take us back and forth. The food was terrific and the service was second to none. Highly recommended!

Kahanda Kanda is so much more than a hotel. It is an experience that neither words nor photos can truly portray but once you have experienced it you will never forget it. I have been lucky enough to stay here many times because the beauty and tranquility of this unique place pulls me back time after time and it never disappoints, whichever lovely room you choose to stay in. Someone once said to me that buildings have a soul and KK has the most beautiful soul. The superlatives have all been said before so all I have to say is a huge thank you to George and all his incredible staff and if you want to experience magic, then come and experience it for yourself.

We stayed in Hibiscus. The room was stunning. Very detailed with lovely touches throughout. The bed was incredibly comfy. The swimming pool was an incredible spot to watch the peacocks in the trees & the sun set each evening. The staff couldn't do enough for us throughout. The entire stay was incredibly peaceful. Would love to return.

All staffs were so attentive and nice. We were spoilt by their generosity, attention and their willingness to provide to our requests. The villa that we stayed in - Kumbuk, is perfect for relaxing and privacy. Surrounded by greenery, you can hear the sounds of birds, peacocks and monkeys. The bed is of very good quality that we woke up everyday feeling refreshed. Their restaurant serves tasty food, we didn't mind ordering the same items multiple times. The Galle Fort is 20-25mins away by tuk-tuk. They provide free tuk-tuk ride to their sister hotel, KK Beach where you can enjoy the beach.
