Polite staff, restaurant food was good and view is great. Location is an easy walk to Taj Mahal entrance.
Room was cold, mosquitos everywhere, there is NO SHOWER just a hose and a bucket, with only cold water. Towel was full of holes like a dish rag and at night you can hear every single noise from the rest of the hotel and the streets outside.
It is cheap to stay here but I would recommend paying extra to go somewhere nicer.

L'emplacement est très bien situé avec une vue imprenable sur le Taj Mahal. Le restaurant est bien. Le personnel très accueillant et peut aider pour l'organisation du séjour.
La propreté des chambres est à revoir : notre cabinet de toilette n'avait pas été lavé avant notre arrivée (cheveux sur le sol, urine sur les WC, ni le sol de la chambre. Peut-être un oubli???

If you want to find The best Hotel near Taj Mahal. I have to proud and tell the traveller about the hotel name are “Saniya Palace” its nice place for all traveller. Nearly by Taj mahal 5 min and Their has the Good view point so see Taj Mahal especially early morning “Nice View” thanks

Close to the Taj, and roof-top restaurant overlooks the Taj thought it's not as close as that header picture depicts. Location therefore, is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful. The main caveat for this ghotel is the room size. Some rooms are slightly larger than others, but all up, you wouldn't want to spend too many nights - of course, people don't spend that long in Agra, despite there being so many incredible sights to visit here. The roof-top restaurant is the main hook - an excellent view across to the Taj. Unfortunately, food quality here is quite poor, as they don't employ a decent chef - in fact, were they too he would demand a far better kitchen than it's current tiny, hot cook-box. We had a good chat to the manager, who is fully aware of the limitations and is going to what he can to increase room sizes and generally smarten up the place, but the weather is a problem and the building is old, which is part of its charm. In all, I would recommend Saniya Palace, but I would take greater care to ensure both an AC room and a good sized one.

We stayed here whilst, surprise surprise, checking out the Taj Mahal which I must say was absolutely corking. I was prepared to be underwhelmed but despite the crowds and heat, it was truly breathtaking. The Suniya Palace was a good place to stay just around the corner and with helpful staff, good value rooms (with a/c that works, hurrah) and a lovely rooftop restaurant which has a splendid view of the TJ and good food; the vegetable pakoras a particular highlight. There were a few issues with the room on arrival though when pointed out, the manager was desperate to make amends, providing us with free chicken tandoori and chai at 4.30am in the morning. Still, just a simple room check would have prevented any issues. It's also slightly odd that the best few of the Taj, thanks to a pesky tree, is from the uncovered bit of the terrace which was too hot (or wet during a midday downpour) to sit in. Still, watching the Taj shift through its many moods over the course of a day of capricious weather, is something I will never forget.

The food was delicious!!!!! And the view even better! We ordered aalu jeera (potato cumin) and matar paneer (paneer with peas) with garlic naan & tandoori roti. You might be a bit surprised when you’re looking for the place as it’s in narrow lanes and not exactly the best surroundings but once you’re on the rooftop restaurant, you forget all about it! The service is great, the food is mad tasty and has a direct view of Taj Mahal. Highly recommend food here!

We stayed here for one night and enjoyed the rooftop for lunch! Very nice quality for the price you pay and a warm welcome from everyone As you can see on the picture, the view on the Taj from the rooftop is just incredible! I would definitely recommend you staying here if looking for a hostel
