Agonda Serenity Resort

Agoda Serenity resort plagues from small boutique hotel trying to emulate like a five star hotel , rigid , over calculative , without environmental concerns like a five star needs to go through. this is the summary of our experience.. not suitable for families, couples, groups, perhaps OK for individuals.

We only ate here, we didn't sleep, but as it was just a walk ***** the beach from where we were staying we chose this one night. It was excellent. Great choice of food, friendly service, and a very pleasant evening. We regretted that we hadn't booked to stay here instead of where we were staying. Next time it will definitely be Serenity.

Positives: Location was great, we had a beach facing room and the view was beautiful especially at sunset. The staff were very friendly, especially when we were having issues paying (it was for sure a card reader issue) but were patient until it was resolved. Clean rooms, nice to have choice of fan and air con, anti mosquito plug in room. Generally a nice place - communal area in bar, comfortable Negatives: As mentioned, card reader issues - maybe think of international travellers (and the automatic conversion to GBP is not good for the traveller at all). I resolved this by doing an international transfer via Monzo, which meant I was not paying out more than what I had agreed to when booking. We spent more time (while in Agonda) further up beach using other restaurants/hotels sun loungers and eating there at breakfast and lunch because their overall facilities were better. We had breakfast at the hotel once, which was OK. We had lunch another time and my watermelon and feta salad was a bit ridiculous for the price. Basically a bowl of watermelon, a minuscule crumble of feta and a sprig (garnish) of mint (which was listed as an ingredient). Would be good to have a kettle in the room.

We stayed for 5 days in December 2023. The place is beautiful & clean with great view for a relaxing getaway. The place has great food too. we ate 90% of our meals there. The whole long stretch of beach is accessible to you and I must say its quite clean .. The room we stayed was not fancy or anythng, but was a clean and cosy wooden hut with good housekeeping provided. The staff was very friendly and helpful, not to forget how lucky I got because the Taxi driver (taxi booked through resort) and the Resort Manager helped to courier back my mobile that I lost in the taxi. I am truly grateful to the m for the service. We would recommend this place to anyone who plans to take a relaxing south Goa vacation.

This is a review for the restaurant only. We stayed here 4 years ago and returned to Agonda but wanted to stay elsewhere for a change. It was great to return to the beach front restaurant, the staff as before are very friendly as before and nothing is too much trouble The food is fresh and the menu varied.

Our experience at Agonda serenity resort was excellent. The staff is very polite and helpful, the rooms although not luxurious and are not in the most perfect shape, yet match the vibe of a beach resort perfectly and are more than worth it for the price you pay. The main highlight of this resort has to be the food and bar. The restaurant and bar has a variety of options for both Vegetarian as well as non vegetarian pallets complemented with Alcoholic as well non alcoholic drinks. The food both in terms of quality and portion size was top notch. This was complemented by the service of the restaurant staff which was even better than the service provided by the resort staff. Overall a great experience, and recommended for any type of traveller be it a couple , a group of friends or even family.
