Aquila Elounda Village Resort, Suites & Spa

From the minute we arrived late at night the wonderful experience of this beautiful hotel began. Check in was done with ease and a welcome glass of fizz as well as snacks from the midnight buffet. Our room was huge, with a lovely balcony with sea views. Food is amazing, we ate mainly in The Mirabello and Culinarium, the settings in both are stunning. The staff in all areas are the best we have ever come across. Eleni and Nicolette in the Lobby bar were so efficient, funny and just lovely. Zia in the beach bar, Nikos, Athina and Demitrius in the Mirabello and Culinarium, Freedom in the main restaurant and Anni and the tui team were all outstanding. Recommend the Greek night, ****** night, film night ( to chill ) and the daytime quiz. The beach for snorkelling is lovely and the infinity pool gorgeous. This hotel is spotless throughout with beautiful gardens. If you’re going soon I’m very envious!!!

Absolutely 5 star holiday! Location - Elounda Village is one of the most picturesque places I have ever stayed. My friend quite rightly pointed out that every view looks like a postcode. 10 Mins to Elounda town, plenty of bars and restaurants and a cute little beach. We took a locally ran boat trip from here that was amazing - highly recommend, search boat trip Elounda . Gr for the website. Rooms - we had a twin balcony with sea view. Our room was a little dated aesthetically but very comfortable. I think there are more modern rooms but we were happy. We were in 721 right by the beach bar, Mirabella restaurant and very close to the main pool. We were all inclusive so our mini bar was replenished daily. All inclusive - there are items that are not included in the all inclusive package, which at first did irritate me and I thought it felt a bit like a scam. On reflection it is very clearly labelled what is and isn't included and there is plenty of choice if you don't want to pay any more - you are not in anyway encouraged to order these items. Additionally, the staff always point out if you have ordered something that isn't included, which shows that it really isn't a scam! Food and drink - the food is amazing here! We ate dinner and lunch in the a la carte restaurants and had breakfast twice in the buffet. We also paid to attend the lobster tasting menu evening which was really lovely! We found that the Ambelos white and red were our favourite wines along with the Moments rose. Chefs Grill, Culinerium and Mirabella all had fantastic evening menus and Mirabella did a fantastic lunch menu. Staff - now this is where this hotel really exceeds! The staff here are amazing - every single person we encountered made us feel like we were the only people at the hotel. My friend hurt her ankle the week before we came so getting around the hilly location was difficult for her, so when we needed to get up to the lobby or back down to our room the staff chauffeured us in the buggy and it was a god send. When we called from our room for assistance they were there in minutes - nothing felt like too much hard work! When spending the day at the pool the waitress would come and take drinks orders and would remember our order from the following days. It always felt so personal! We were terrible at remembering our room number but the staff new exactly where we were and corrected us on more than one occasion! I wish I could remember everyone's name to personally thank, but I have a memory like a sieve for names! They were all amazing and a really testament to Elounda Village. I appreciate that everyone has their standards but I cannot believe for a second that any of the staff were rude or anything but helpful, so I have to assume the people that made these comments either were a nightmare to serve or just love having something to moan about - we all know people like that! Well what can I say. This is one of my favourite places. The hotel is gorgeous, the food amazing, such a relaxing place. Highly recommend going to the spa. Marina was welcoming and knowledgeable and our therapists Eva and Maria were so amazing, the massages we had (Cretan) was the best massage I’ve had. Thank you all for a wonderful holiday xx

A wonderful holiday to a beautiful island. We travelled with my son and his girlfriend but they booked separately. We had rooms in different places. We met up for meals some days and others we did our own thing. The hotel is amazing, we had a relaxing holiday although lots of steps so we did plenty of exercise. We enjoyed all the restaurants and themed evenings. There is plenty of variety and something for all. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. Tui blue staff are there and on hand if you need them. Amazing Hotel, beautiful and quiet location, great staff. The hotel caters for all, you can have it as relaxing or as lively as you like. Particular thanks to the Activities team, Anni, Nena, Kristen do an amazing job and have made our stay brilliant fun.

Great place to relax, good food ,great service the sea is too quiet for me I would love to hear some classic Greek music .lovely view and good vibes, the water is with charge so just buy from the shop next to the gym. The gym is too small but great view!

First impressions, excellent, lovely lobby/bar, classy decor, clean with good attention to detail. Check in was efficient and fast. Staying in a Junior Suite and what a beautiful room, with uninterrupted sea views. The hotel staff are extremely professional and friendly, special thanks to Spiros and the front of house team for going that extra mile to ensure we have a great vacation. All of the food has been excellent so far, the only 'small' negative being that the complimentary water in the room isn't replenished daily.

It was a wonderful holiday. The performance largely corresponds to the price. I would also like to highlight the staff at the spa. Kostas has magic hands. The area is very nice and the approach from the airport acceptable. Employees and gastronomy are particularly positive.

Tui blue app booking system does not highlight issues for disabled people however I’m told the app does but I didn’t book on the app . Food and drink expensive . Pictures of the pools near main reception and eatery are not for use . Hotel staff amazing . Didn’t get room clean just a quick bed make . Didn’t get refills for tea and coffee shower gel or shampoo ( took our own anyway) . Elounda is amazing and the Elounda village is great for mobile guests . Didn’t see activities , market shop is a snack bar and souvenirs ,not a food Market . Past review deleted
