Du Lac

A decent enough budget hotel. I only came for one night, so didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel. The room was a simple room - comfortable and clean and no problems. There's facility to make a tea or coffee, and a fridge and TV, and a small balcony. I didn't check the wifi so can't comment. The reception seemed friendly although a colleague (who speaks the language) did the actual checking in and out. It's only small and (when we were there - out of season) - no breakfast, but the cafe immediately next door does and is a pleasant start to the day. The location in the middle of the town is great for being in the centre, but parking is just a free-for-all on the streets surrounding, and the streets are narrow, so it's not really ideal if you have a hire car. I'd be happy enough to stay here again. However I'm sure there are other good hotels here too.

Found ourselves in Agios Nikolaos for the night and needed somewhere to stay, contacted Du Lac and they only available room was a triple with lake view, however the receptionist only charged us the double room rate. No frills hotel but still one of the best '2 star' hotels I've stayed in. Room nice and bright, clean and with a fridge and coffee making facilities, smallish bathroom and shower but again, very clean. The private balcony overlooking the lake was a great addition, sitting there after dinner watching the world go by with a night cap was good, the geese on the lake were a little noisy but they soon settled down and once the patio door was closed they were barely audible. Would definitely stay here again, might be a 'budget' hotel but it fit the bill perfectly and I could quite happily stay one night or several here.

The hotel has all the right things a room should have, comfortable beds with the softest sheets and perfect pillows, nice clean bathroom, good lighting, kettle with teas and coffee. Very nice staff and an amazingly great restaurant, La Skala. A must if you are Agios Nicolaos!

We arived to the hotel to check in and didint find anyone at the reception , 10-15minutes later a young kid with tattoos on his face and neck arived and said our room was not ready yet , later he went outside to finish his coffee and smoke while we where waiting. One hour later the room was ready, it had a great view of the city-lake and was clean,perfect place to enjoy the city and relax. In conclusion everything was perfect regarding the room and hotel facilities, the staff was very helpfull to provide us with information about the city and places to visit, exept one of the two young kids on the front office.One of them and also the lady we saw next morning was very kind to give us information about the city and places to eat and swim.The other employee with face tattoos was rude to us and ruined our first night. The rooms that have viewofthe lake are amazing and i would definately recomend them to anyone that is looking to visit the city for few days

This beautiful little hotel overlooks a lake with fishing boats and restaurants on one side and a cobbled street the other. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are totally adequate with huge king size beds , rooms are cleaned daily and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is right in the hub of beautiful shops, bars and restaurants. One of the best little hotels we have ever stayed in and recommend you stay, a big 10 out of 10. Nous avons réservé 3 chambres pour 10 jours mes 2 amies et moi dans cet hôtel bien situé. Nous avons vite déchanté : un accueil frais, des chambres au confort inégal (2 lits au lieu d’un pour une résa en février 2024 et en partie réglée), une sdb minuscule wc a l’intérieur de la douche, et collé au mur. Aucune info touristique… Et le pompon : un grand drapeau palestinien flottant au balcon au milieu de l’hôtel. Nous avons protesté nous venons en crete pas dans un lieu politique. Et en plein conflit ce drapeau nous a dérangées. Réponse fermée et condescendante. Hôtel cher qui n’a qu’une belle vue sur le lac.Très déçues !
