Kythea Resort

We had a great 2 night stay while we visited the island! The staff were so nice and helpful and attentive, and the grounds well kept and clean. Great location/home base to explore the rest of the island. Great on-site breakfast, views, and pool!

A beautiful hotel, very well located, very comfortable with friendly staff, always smiling with a warm welcome. Anna and her husband personally see to it that everything is perfect, from the reception to the swimming pool and the (very copious) breakfast. We'll be back with great pleasure, as this is without doubt the best hotel in the area. The village of Ayia Pelagia has a beautiful beach where parasols are the cheapest on the island, and its tavernas are very good.

The hotel has a good staff, lovely pool, and is well maintained. It is an easy walk to the restaurants and they have parking. The rooms are lacking a kettle snd coffeemaker but the biggest shortcoming are the beds. The mattresses need to be changed. They are thin and you can feel the springs. It would also be good for the buffet breakfast to be offered before 8:30a

We have recently returned from 5 nights at the Kythea Resort Hotel in Agia Pelagia Kythira Island followed by 5 nights in the south of the island. Hotel was just as advertised, being clean and tidy if a little basic when compared to other 4 star hotels these days. That said the staff more than made up for it, being so helpful and friendly, and this made our stay very relaxing. 10-15 minute walk along the sea front to all the bars and restaurants of Agia Pelagia, which provided good food and lots of atmosphere even in the relative off season when we went - early June. Rooms were spacious and with a good sized balcony and stunning sea/harbour/hill views, however no tea or coffee making facilities in the room was a missed opportunity. Breakfast was expansive but pretty much the same every day, so would recommend the hotelier introduce some variety as well as more fresh fruit. Beyond that very little to mention adverse! Kythira is beautiful island and the Kythea Resort is a good base from which to explore it but we heartily recommend hiring a car; without it would all be a bit limiting.

Kythea Resort Agia Pelagia A beautiful hotel with even more beautiful staff who couldn’t have made our stay more enjoyable. Stavroula (on reception) and Krystyna deserve particular credit Difficult to find as you have to drive right through town and up the hill out on the other side before you even see a sign. (Ignore the Satnav if it takes you up a narrow side road full of cars before you see the sign as you’ll simply have to reverse out!) Large airy foyer / lounge / bar with a lovely balcony overlooking the town. Large efficient lift giving access to all floors Very spacious airy bedroom with a huge terrace. Generous sized shower. All rather 1980’s but everything works and is spotlessly clean No tea/coffee making facilities, iron / board or robes - but there is a (rather weak) hairdryer in the bathroom and a refrigerator Shutters at the windows so those who wish to can cut out all light at night Lovely pool with surrounding sun beds which can get busy at the end of the day - although there was little shade around the sunbeds Very adequate buffet breakfast Steps directly down to the street to shorten the walk into town Overall we loved our stay here and we’re already planning to return

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit tollen Ausblick in das Dorf Agia Pelagia und dessen Hafen und Strand der füssläufig nur 3-4 min entfernt ist. Sehr sauber und sehr gute Küche. Schwimmingpoll super. Die hotelbetreiber und das Personal sehr nett und freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Preis Leistung Verhältnis mehr als gut. Sehr empfehlenswert.
