We arrived quite late at the hotel and were greeted by a staff member who, unfortunately, wasn’t particularly welcoming. Since everything had already closed, there was no offer to check if we needed anything, not even a bottle of water. We were quickly shown to our room, located on the lower ground floor with a view of a wall—not the most inviting start to our stay. The pool area is lovely, but there are only 65 sunbeds for over 500 rooms, which makes it difficult to get a spot. As mentioned, guests reserve beds with towels, despite the hotel’s policy against it. Since there’s no lifeguard to manage the situation, this practice goes unchecked. To get a bed, you’ll need to be up early or, as we found, try your luck around 5pm. Another downside is the smoking around the pool. While I understand that Europe has different rules than the UK, it was inconsiderate for some guests to smoke right next to others, especially with children present. We also saw people bringing drinks and even eating pizza in the pool, and without any staff managing this, guests felt free to do whatever they liked. On a positive note, breakfast was definitely the highlight of the day, with a great selection. I do wish items like omelettes were available at lunchtime, as the lunch menu was quite similar to dinner, which became repetitive over time. Many guests, including ourselves, ended up eating out. The village and beach area, however, were a lovely surprise and by far the best part of the all-inclusive experience—far from the typical touristy spots found in the Greek Islands. Staff were hit or miss. The waiters and bar staff were friendly and chatty, but reception staff lacked warmth. They didn’t even ask how our stay had been when we checked out. Rooms are cleaned daily, but you need to be present to make sure supplies like soap and toilet paper are replenished. We went three days without hand soap simply because we were out and about and missed housekeeping. Thankfully, we had our own supply. Overall, we did enjoy our time here—the weather was beautiful, and we met some lovely people. However, given the shortcomings in service, the lack of pool management, and a few other issues, we wouldn’t stay here again.
