Grecotel-Luxme Costa Botanica

My wife and I have just returned from a week at this lovely all inclusive hotel. The hotel and facilities were fantastic but what really makes this resort so special is the staff. Everyone was so friendly,helpful and always smiling. The beach is lovely as are the pools. The buffet restaurant was great as were the individual restaurants, particularly the Asian and Italian. The only disappointment was the fine dining restaurant which we both found disappointing. The WiFi throughout the resort was excellent (even down the beach)! Thank you to everyone who are our stay so special.

Our family spent 11 days at this hotel and we really enjoyed our stay!! As soon as we arrived, we were kindly greeted and felt like home already. The staff especially Georgia from wine tastin was so professionell and well read. We learned so much about this art and had a great time!! Definitely worth doing! Such a nice person.

We had an amazing time at Grecotel Botanica. Overall, the experience was just great. From the moment we arrived, the staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. It’s worth mentioning that we arrived long before our check-in time, but the hotel already had our room prepared. The room was good overall, but not quite 5-star. The positive aspects of the room were its spaciousness (high ceilings!) and beautiful design, with all the modern amenities you would expect. The bed was comfortable (one large mattress), and the walk-in shower was fantastic. However, there were two issues with the summer room we stayed in: 1. The air conditioning was TERRIBLE. It should have been replaced a long time ago. It looked more like a heater and didn’t appear to have been cleaned for ages. I was worried just looking through the vents and imagining what was inside. 2. The sewage drains in the bathroom should be watered from time to time to avoid unpleasant odors or contamination. As for the restaurants: Upon arrival, we installed the hotel app, which was helpful for booking à la carte dinners. However, by the time we started making reservations, most of the slots were already fully booked for our entire stay. Out of 7 nights, we managed to book only 3, but these 3 dining experiences were exceptional—especially Noonas restaurant, which was the best! The main restaurant, however, was just average/good. Some of the waiters could benefit from learning a bit more about etiquette when serving. If it weren’t for the à la carte options, I think the overall dining experience would have been much worse. One pleasant surprise was the exceptional bar service at the pool and the market area. The drinks were great, and the coffee was excellent. Another great feature of the hotel was the grounds—clean, spacious, and well-designed. However, stepping outside the hotel felt like you were in a completely different place. The private beach was also a highlight—well-maintained and close to the bar, which was very convenient. Overall, our experience at Grecotel Botanica exceeded our expectations. Whether you’re traveling with family or as a couple, this hotel offers exceptional value, comfort, and service. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

An outstanding hotel resort 5* !! I have never rebooked the same holiday until now. Hotel campus utterly beautiful full of stunning flowers and lush greenery. Rooms unique, comfortable and homely. Hotel site is not too big either just a nice walk. Staff are kind friendly proficient and happy to help nothing is too much trouble. Facilities are plenty the variety is great. Food is fresh tasty never looks like its been sat for hours. Cannot wait to return!!

Lovely hotel, staff friendly and they seem to have the right ratio of staff to guests so not overtly frazzled. Food well stocked and towels and seating always available. We have not come with young children but those who have (most families) are demonstrating the most supreme parenting. Never seen such a large number of nicely behaved kids ever, just full of beans and enjoying their best lives. Outstanding.

A much needed family holiday for us! There was literally nothing that wasn’t perfect (apart from the mozzies). Food was great and plentiful…. And even my fussy kids loved it. We didn’t get a table in any of the a la carte restaurants (too late booking them - make sure you get the app BEFORE you leave and don’t expect to get booked when you’re there) but actually, the closer we got to the end of our week, the more we hoped NOT to get a table, because we were all so happy in the main restaurant. Plenty variety too - there was a seafood night, sushi - as well as a brilliant Greek/Mediterranean spread… and the puddings!!! Wow! The grill at the beach end of the resort was our favourite for lunch - and because there wasn’t any dessert, it be allowed us to have a crepe/ice cream in the afternoon! We were there in the 2nd week of the season so not overly busy. Didn’t ever need to queue for a table, and pools weren’t too busy. Kids (4 and 9) both loved the kids pool and the lazy river. Wee shop on the resort was super and we managed to get inflatables, sun tan lotion, souvenirs, etc there. Our accommodation was basic but all we needed. Fab bathroom, with Jack and Jill sinks. Kids in separate room adjoining ours which allowed us an evening after they’d gone to bed. Didn’t use kids club but seemed very welcoming and evening mini disco and other entertainment was great. We were in a room very close to the main square and, yes, it was noisy but we’d all had so much fun during the day, we didn’t struggle to sleep. Bed was memory foam (which i’m not a fan of) but we requested extra pillows which were delivered and helped enormously. Staff could not have been more helpful… not a single one less than fully engaged in looking after guests. We didn’t leave the resort once all week…. And I’ve always sniffed at people who do this (!)… but genuinely felt we were experiencing Greece/Corfu where we were and so delighted not to have to! Only complaint is that I seem to have put on serious weight with all those puddings!

From the moment we arrived we were in heaven! From the beach to the restaurants we were never disappointed! Most of all the team of people looking after us were the warmest, kindest I’ve ever met. From Marianna who served us drinks so beautifully, Eva the kindest lady to mind our rooms, Maria & El in the Spa to the very brilliant Georgia for the wine tasting. I would recommend this incredible place to anyone! We loved every moment - so grateful to you all! ❤️

This is a very honest review. First of all a private transfer to the hotel is a game changer as it’s 2 hour by coach but only an hour by car. You are greeted at the hotel at a high standard. You are welcomed by refreshing face towel and juices. You are guided round to your room which is lovely as it takes away that anxiety of not knowing where anything is. The room itself is a little bit dated with the furniture. We were upgraded to an apartment which was a nice touch but still it wasn’t anything overwhelmingly special. The super king bed was comfy and you had a proper duvet. Make sure you ask for more pillows! Also you get mosquito plug ins which will be your life saver during your stay. The air-con isn’t the best..takes a very long time to cool the room especially in the humid heat. Mini fridge was topped up daily. Towels changed everyday. And they supplied your own little goodies for toiletries. Staff are all amazing. Hard working ready to please. I felt bad as some people were so rude to them and very demanding like spoilt children but the staff took it on the chin and smiled through it. Well done to all of them for having incredible patience! Food was lovely. Something for everyone. What I would say is maybe a children seating section would be good as there was a lot of screaming tiered kids at evening dinner. Took that peacefulness away. Drinks/ cocktails were also very good. Not too strong and a quite enjoyable. Beach is lovely. Sea shoes are a must as it’s stones. The waves are awesome! Very dramatic at times. Beautiful colour sea! Pools could be cleaner! The mane pool had something disgusting floating around.. couldn’t make out if it was baby vomit or suncream.. either way the staff did nothing to try and clean it so we never went back into that pool after that.. w3 stayed at the adult pool. Water park is a must! Life guards are awesome! They interact with you which is fun! Overall it’s a nice hotel. But could just do with a few little tweaks here and there! The spa was being renovated which was guttering as we booked the hotel for the spa facilities which was so annoying!

To start with the positives… the central square was truly special… surrounded by restaurants and entertainment. The vibe was lovely and our 18month old loved the mini disco. Staff at the children’s club were lovely. The hotel was clean and all room and pool areas were immaculate. The water park was special and the beach was beautiful… excellent for swimming… calm and sandy. The beach bar was great and the food was mostly excellent in all areas. The Italian a la carte was the most special in terms of both food and setting. The WiFi is great and staff were all friendly and helpful… this was only compromised when they were super busy. The resort was super spacious and you could always find a space that felt like your own… especially on the beach and in the water park. Now to the things that were not so good… some of the rooms are terribly placed. We were very unlucky and were put in a room which backed into the Greek restaurant. Not only was this noisy but it meant limited privacy and no terrace…which… we had paid a lot of extra money for. This seemed to be very poorly thought out as the hotel know we had an 18month old who, on a few nights, was unable to sleep until after the music finished at 11pm! It was also extremely disappointing that our 'terrace' which we had paid extra for on the belief that the baby would enjoy crawling on the grass was, in fact, a ***** of concrete about 2ft deep which as, therefore, unused and a significant waste of money. The food at the water park was very poor… hot dogs, bad hamburgers and chips… nothing, it seems, for adults or those who fancy something healthier! This was in contrast to the excellent food available in the main buffet and begs the question why they did not just move some of the healthier options to the other lunch spots? The hotel is marketed as being a high end farm to table resort. This is reflected in the cost and part of the reason why we chose to book... we wanted healthy home grown food for us and our baby...but we saw no evidence of this on our stay. All food was mass produced, bought in akin to akin other chain hotels. There was an area where there were a small number of tomato plants but these were not possibly being used to feed the hundreds of guests. We were never offered any ‘farm to table’ baby food any other options other than those available generally. The hotel was nice but was definitely not ‘exclusive’ as experienced in other hotels in the same chain. It seemed like a 7/10 hotel at a 9/10 price.
