The Cardigan Bay Guest House

Excellent location friendly and very helpful reception service and decent pricing I will go again. Room clean and with all amenities, peaceful sleep good shower and bathroom ensuite. Walking distance of high street and many food and drink venues. I thoroughly recommend this guest house to anyone wanting a relaxing stay.

Lovely little guest house, right on the seafront. Rooms are clean and bright, making good use of limited space. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Very good value for money. Free overnight parking outside after 6pm with 4 hours free during the day.

Booked a room with a queen and a single. Confirmed the room over the phone the day before. Upon arrival we were given a room with a queen bed and told all the other rooms were taken. My teenager had to sleep on the floor. Owner said it was Expedia's fault even though my booking clearly stated what room type we had. He said we could take it up with ******* for a refund. I tried that when I got home, but when ******* got on the phone with the owner, he denied it all, and so they wouldn’t process the refund.

LOL - sooooo funny, this is a small guesthouse associated with the Celtic guest house next door. Think, hollow walls, small double bed (was clean, but an oversized 6 year old would not fit) - if a mattress was possible to have 6 springs this was here! My girlfriend’s feet wouldn’t touch the floor on the tiny toilet when sitting on it, she felt she was back at primary school lol. No food as we escaped early. Soooo funny, we were in stitches. It was too good because it was so bad! Please go for comedy value lol 😂

We had a triple room 2 pensioners plus adult. We had a great time. No lift so need to be fit enough to climb stairs . Very organised service, easy check in as we arrived a little late. Room was basic but very very clean. This is not a 5 star accomodation its a 3 star and as such is great value for money. The seaview alone was fantastic and we could sit in bed and watch and listen to the sea. Great for people watching and lovely cafe downstairs altho we didnt use it, lovely to have on site. We just loved the whole vibe of the place. We slept well. If i had to have a negative it would be the mattress, could be updated but thats down to personal preference, we still slept well. Would we visit again HELL YES. Clean Comfotable and Cheap...whats not to like..👍

This hotel has a brilliant location with an amazing sea view from the front bay window room that we stayed in. Our room had tea making facilities and was very clean and cosy with central heating. The members of staff were very helpful. We were also able to leave our luggage at the hotel before we checked in and also after we had checked out whilst we had our last few hours around the town. Would definitely stay again.

Arrived early and we knew check-in wasn't until 3pm. We asked if we could leave our case at reception which was no problem at all. Quite pleasant on arrival, little café on site, we didn't use but had seating indoors and outside. Reception phoned me at 1pm to let us know our room was ready which was nice. Made our way back and checked in. Pleasant welcome, out case had been taken to our room for us on 3rd floor, so that was helpful. We booked a seaview room, didn't expect luxury but was comfortable, presented nicely with towels and complimentary toiletries on the bed and tea/coffee was well stocked. Great to have an iron, ironing board and hair dryer. Ok checkout the next day, which was at a reasonable time of 11am, the reception happily held on to our suitcase whilst we went for breakfast and a walk. All in all, a good guest house, reasonably priced and location great. Would recommend the cliff top railway, nice bar at the top with crazy golf and views are amazing. Also a walk to the harbour on South beach, nice bar to sit at. Plenty of places to eat and drink on town with cocktail bars. Will definitely be returning at some point for a night away.

Popped into this cafe attached to the guest house late afternoon on a blustery March afternoon. Lovely little cafe that is open till late. Pot of tea for two only £3! Lovely tea and the cakes looked good too. A good spot if you want a cafe open late with a good choice of cakes and drinks at a reasonable price.

A slightly confusing establishment as it has merged in with Celtic Bay and is a mixture of a guest house and a self catering building with a communal kitchen area. It is actually no bad thing as long as you are aware of the nature of the hotel. It is right on the promenade thus a number of the rooms have sea views although they could be better maintained but are none the less value for money. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, what a pleasant way to relax for a few days watching the sunset whist using the tea and coffee facilities.
