Staff very friendly. Room clean and had everything we needed. Food was honestly the best we've eaten in a long time. Amazing dinner and breakfast! Peaceful setting but close to tourist points. Icing on the cake was being there for the live music in the pub. A perfect night away. We really hope we can come back soon.

Bedding was ripped, there was no option for afternoon tea or bar meals as written on site. A bit too much taxidermy for me. Sausages at breakfast not cooked A bit disappointing over all especially with the price. Rooms were tired and could do with a refresher. Staff were friendly.

Very charming mansion hotel. Only twelve rooms, limited check in Manager and staff (one person) are very friendly and helpful. They do what they can, but they are only two. Breakfast rather basic Diner is ok, limited choice but good food. There is a very charming Scottish bar, the ewe connected to the hotel. Rooms are spacious and warm. Very small tv, my computer monitor is bigger. Bed comfort not great, old beds , bathroom is ok, but shower lacks power. So a bit too much flaws for this price range of hotels. Nevertheless a very charming stay.

Everything about this hotel was first class. The rooms were expansive and well decorated, the food was impeccable (the lamb was amazing). Richard and Chef were of great assistance. Our time there was very memorable. They went above and beyond!

This is a very cute , English inn type hotel in a cute village / countryside . Very unique experience for a non UK person. Room is rustic / clean and with lovely views. They have breakfast included - we heard they offer a lovely breakfast but could not eat there due to packed schedule. However , we’re able to have dinner there for both nights- food was so tasty that we ended up having dinner there again. The chef knows what he is doing . The manager is very friendly but non intrusive and efficient . Would highly recommend this place .

Me and my family had a beautiful experience at the cosy bar of the hotel. Then we moved onto the restaurant. Gabriel the manager of the hotel made us feel totally at home. Great service and extremely professional and polite. The food was outstanding as was the whole experience. A must visit if you pass by this beautiful Perthshire countryside!

This is a small hotel in a lovely, small village. We stayed here on Saturday night as we were attending a wedding a few hundred metres along the road. Unfortunately, our stay coincided with some very heavy and prolonged rain that caused lots of flooding. When we arrived, the owner offered to drive us to the wedding venue, which was brilliant, because we would have got very wet walking through flood water. She also brought us tea and wonderful shortbreads. Our room was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was superb as well.

This small hotel is a little off the usual tourist Perthshire beaten track, but well worth the detour. We visited after a matinee at Pitlochry theatre. Rooms and ***** areas were clean and comfortable, the food was excellent, and the staff were helpful and courteous. The hostess was friendly and charming without being intrusive -- sometimes a difficult balance to get right! After our stay she went beyond the call of duty in arranging to return some property we had foolishly left behind. We plan to return.

Superb country hotel, housed in a lovely old building, tastefully restored, offering splendid views, delightful sitting room and library, warm welcome and atmosphere, personable and impeccable service and delicious breakfasts and dinners, plus many delightful touches including roaring fires in sitting and dining rooms and complimentary dram and shortbread by bedside every night. Presided over with charm and grace by the ‘nothing-too-much-trouble’ owner, Mags. We’ve stayed in many fine houses and palaces around the world over the decades, but Fortingall Hotel is special. Bravi.
