All in all a very reasonable stay, just one negative one was unable to use HDMI cable, as the television was built into the wall.
Apart from that the members of staff were very helpful, and I did enjoy my stay.

Dette elizabethanske hotel siges at være hjemsøgt af spøgelset Mary Queen of Scots. Hotellet har bevaret nogle af sine historiske detaljer og byder på en hyggelig restaurant. Ejendommens charme og karakter blandes med moderne faciliteter.
På The Talbot Hotel, Oundle , Near Peterborough - The Coaching Inn Group finder man egetræsbjælker, åben pejs samt mange andre historiske træk. Dele af hotellet er hentede fra Fotheringhay Slot, herunder trappen, som Mary Queen of Scots gik ned ad, før hun blev henrettet.
Det nyrenoverede Talbot har bevaret sin antikke skønhed, men tilbyder moderne faciliteter, såsom eget badeværelse, WiFi samt gratis parkering.
Den intime restaurant og bar serverer traditionelle britiske retter, udsøgte vine samt real ales.
Byen Oundle byder på georgiansk arkitektur samt en kirke fra det 14. århundrede. I nærheden finder man desuden Lyveden New Bield, som er resterne af et korsformet sommerhus fra det 16. århundrede. Peterborough og byens butikscenter ligger blot 16 km derfra.

I recently enjoyed a relaxing stay at Barton Hall. The grounds are beautiful, and the spa was a highlight, especially in the sunshine.
However, the breakfast was disappointing. The English breakfast options were too salty, and the juice tasted synthetic, making it poor value for money.
The staff were somewhat strict about the rules for accessing the spa, which felt a bit excessive. Despite this, they were generally helpful and courteous.
Overall, a nice stay with lovely surroundings, but some improvements needed in breakfast quality and staff approach.

Perfect meeting space with charge points in the bar made our team meeting very easy.

Nice enough modern hotel with comfortable le spacious twin room,( was a bit of an odour when we opened the door but seemed to disappear after 10 mins or so,was a party going on till early hours we were told but didn't really notice much noise,decent breakfast(had better)but good variety,wasn't able to use all facilities unfortunately as had to leave Earlish but would probably book again

The room had an unpleasant smell, but overall the experience was okay. It was good. The room was very nice and pretty, but there was not enough amenities in the lobby area other than that, the day was really good and peaceful

Unfortunately booked a twin room. Beds not that comfortable and hat to sleep on the spare quilt to remove some of the lumps from the mattress. Went to reception both days to speak to someone but no one around. Will stay again but make sure I do not book a twin room

We stayed for just one night. It’s a very basic hotel, but I was pleased with my stay overall. The room was a good size and clean, and the breakfast was fine. The only issue was that the cutlery was quite dirty.

GGæstebrugerMy friend and I booked this hotel for one night's stay with breakfast included. Travelling down from Yorkshire, we had tickets for the Women’s Rugby World Cup to watch England and Delta's location was convenient for Northampton's Cinch Stadium.
We've not stayed at this particular Marriott establishment before but the price was reasonable and the reviews appeared positive.
We cannot fault the place; it was absolutely perfect!
The staff were all so welcoming, especially the gentleman on reception. Friendly, pleasant, helpful and engaging, offering advice and information on the surrounding areas; nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and that included our spacious twin room. Fittings and furnishings were of a very good standard and the beds were extremely comfortable. There's a nice ambience and our short stay was very relaxed and peaceful.
We had breakfast on site, at the Cast Iron Grill and it was delicious with so much variety. There's also the ”Grab and Go” food station, in the lobby with snacks and drinks available 24/7.
Despite the hotel being near the M1, the surrounding area is beautiful and picturesque, surrounded by fields with a nearby lake; it's ideal for a leisurely walk.
There's also ample car parking on site, which is complimentary.
Overall, an excellent experience and we highly recommend this hotel. Thank you.

TTravelerZ6The Room was fine and the building is historical and beautiful. Sadly the spa is nothing great its more like a hotel with a pool and some treatment rooms. The outside pool was not available so it was just a normal size swimming pool with a whirlpool on it. Also they said its open till 8 and then at 18:00 they told us to leave as they gonna close??
The spa was one of the main reason we came and it was disappointing. The rest was fine. Food a bit overpriced.

GGæstebrugerNice hotel that we haven’t visited for a few years because of price increases. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. Check in good and great staff all round. Only problems were the bed is much smaller than in Holiday Inn Express , the shower had no connection strip to connect panel to bath therefore a flooded floor, also no full length mirror for dressing.
