The apartment is located in a beautiful green area. The nearest beach, 10 minutes walk away, stretches for kilometers and is one of the best on the island. The beach is located on the west side, and you can take baths in the sun-sets or just go down to the beach club houses and take a drink/eat something and enjoy the beautiful seaside landscape. There is a shop less than 100 meters away from the house. There are also a number of restaurants in the area (a la carte, pizza, asian, grill). And even more of them if you visit the neighbouring Santa Maria. Which is within walking range, or by a Taxi for some 3-4 EUR. Vila Verde also has a local bus that goes about 4 times a day to and from Santa Maria which is free for guests with an access card (we provide). There is a bus stop just above the house. For someone who enjoys fishing. Cape Verde in general is a very interesting choice. We advice catch and release and perhaps to keep one or two fish for an interesting dinner. In Santa Maria you can also buy fish from the local fishermen, to very good prices. Like tuna, barracuda, groupers etc. There is also usually a lot of exotic fresh fruits to chose from.
